Cheshire Cat-urday

The Human bought this little wire sculpture in Oregon last year. She likes it, but to tell you the troof, it gives me the heebie-jeebies just a little bit.
At first I was all "Oh, so cute!" but then when I looked at it longer, I was "Oh--scary and angry-looking."
I'm glad it's up high on the plate ledge above the wainscoting in the dining room where I can't see it very well. Still, I feel it up there, secretly glowering at me, and that thought gives me a little frisson of disquiet.

It really does give one a frisson of disquiet. We understand why it gives you a pause. Good that it isn't your direct view. It just a little to wirey. Take care.

Spitty, I love a well educated man cat. Admiral had such a feeling as you so aptly described on several occasions whether it was warranted or no. Usually it was not. However, she made sure she was at the ready regardless of intent on Mom's part, as you know. You have been there after she melted UTB to be sure of keeping abductors (mom) away.

I see opportunity. Gravity is your friend. The awful decapitated cat sculpture is perched high on a shelf, well, I'm guessing that if the wire sculpture got a little nudge in just the right direction in the middle of the night, it might just crash to the floor into a useless pile of wire. Something to think about...

I don't know, maybe it is just me, but does this sculture look like the Joker and a cats love child?

It kinda creeps us out too. We are all terrified of the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland.

Anything in a kitty shape or likeness can't be a bad thing, even odd ones have their charm. Actually, if that one were within reach, I could totally see Leo loving it. He loves to rub his face and cheeks on everything odd shaped and there are lots of stuff to rub and scratch on with that thing!

Just so long as you don't soil your pantaloons...a little weirdness can be FUN!

Spitty, it gives us the heebie jeebies too. Can you climb up there and knock it over so it's not smiling at us like that??

It does has an ebel grin, Spitty. We like the idea of giving it a nudge some dark night.
