Rocks Rock

Last month, the Beauteous Cathy Keisha hadded an auction to benefit her furiend Baby Patches! Item #3 in the auction was a collection of fabulous painted rocks from Tiny Pearl Cat. Although my cheapskate financially prudent Human lost that auction, the lovely and generous Tiny Pearl Cat decided to send me a few of her wonderful creations anyway!
Here are the two that are living at home with us:
There are two more rock-kitties that stay at school, which the ridiculously forgetful slightly-absent-minded Human forgotted to picturize. They will find their way into another post!
Thanks, Tiny Pearl Cat! We luffs them!

*     *     *     *     *

P.S. Thanks for all your sympathy and encouraging words. I *am* feeling better (see below) but I am also pretty suspicious of the Human and of certain places in the house (like the living room where I was scooped up and shoved unceremoniously into that PTU).
I think I will keep getting more relaxed as the days go by, but the Human welcomes advice (e.g., is it a good idea to take me into the living room or just wait for me to go in there on my own?)

OMC! You have a Spitty rock! We love our CK rock! Tiny Pearl Cat rocks bigtime!
PS I'll have to wait till tomorrow to watch the video. I'm sorry we forgot to visit you today. It's TW's fault. She was too busy taking over my blog.

That was AWESOME whapping action Spitty! I think your human should feed you roasted chick-hen and your favorite flavor of canned foods...followed by nip sprinkled ALL OVER the living room.

Dear Spitty's Mommy
A nice pile of nip on a newspaper in the middle of the living room, or some of Spitty's favorite treats, left in the morning before yous leaves for work, works really well. Me knows! Mommy did that to mes and some before cats.

Nellie

I love those rocks! I think your human should just leave you alone and let you get back to normal on your own time... but yeah, spreading treats, chicken and nip all over the living room might be a nice atonement.

Cool rocks!! You have a pet Spitty Rock! MOL!!
Love the video!! Yes, you look like you're feeling better!
We think Nellie has a good idea. And maybe use your wand toy to lead you out there, let you chase it? You need to see that the PTU isn't there waiting for you again maybe?

Leo says: Hee hee hee, you want to play with my stringy?? Oh boy! That'd be fun fun fun! I hope you're around on Tuesday! Oh, and for my birthday on Monday... I got something planned for you! *giggle giggle snort*

Star says: Oh Spitty! I'm so glad you're feeling better! That nip brandy and ice must have worked! And the bacons! I think you're right, that operation isn't going to cramp your style at all, not one bit. purrs and licks!
Oh, and I second Leo's invite to his stupid party. I'll need someone to distract me from his catterwalling and carrying on..

Oh Spitty, you DO LOOK like you've made a full recovery. You look so happy in that video!
Mommy here : How about feeding Spitty in the living room? And doing all the fun things in there (things Spitty can't resist)? Whatever it is, it's probably best NOT to force him or it may just make him more wary...

Wow - you got sent some replacement rocks for those that were rudely removed! Delighted to see you thrashing that feather toy, and asserting yourself. Your majesty has a very royal swishy tale. A note to your servant: no picking up and placing in the Room of Bad Memories: King Spitty will, we are sure, freely move in there when treats such as shrimps and prawns and turkey bits and temptations and catnip blooms etc etc are placed discretely around the room. How about a laser dot to play with in there ?

We are happy to see you are feeling much better! A treat trail into the living room couldn't hurt :)

Those rocks are really cool Spitty! I think you will go back in the living room on your own, but the catnip trail is a good idea!

We love those rocks, Spitty! The mom has a painted rock but it's a turtle. She needs a kitty rock!!

We're glad you are getting back to normal, but we don't blame you for being wary. We told you...milk this. Lots and lots of treats should be in your future.

Good to see you playing again Spitty, and keeping watch over the 'hood too!
We think you need to rediscover the LR on your own and not be so spooked in your own home. It would be interesting if your human put something enticing in there to see if you'd fall forit....err....investigate. But not something precious like your pink beddy. You don't want negative vibes around that special thing. Give yourself time, you'll be trusting again soon.
Those rocks, well, Rock!!! Some people are so darn creative!

Spitty, you'll go back to the living room on your own in your own good times, I know. No use being put down in there especially if your mom has to CARRY you there.

I just watched your mighty and mancatly fighting the fevvers. ooh, is it hot in here or is it me? whew...

Those are awesome rocks! We just love them. : ) ...and the Spitty rock, well it's just perfect.

Spitty, take your time on the living room. Show the mom you're in control. You'll go there when you're good and ready. You've probably already cased the place while she's sleeping.

; ) Katie

yeah, we lost the auction too but are happy that you were able to get some of those beautiful rocks!
Glad to see you are feeling better Spitty!

We are with the leave-Spitty-to-make-up-his-own-mind school of thought. I, Austin, when I have been left to my own devices, usually overcome my fears and relax back into the old routine again. Treats always help!!!

The rocks, rock!

Your cat rocks are great! Kind of replace the ones the vet took...

Spitty, we agree with something tempting "just" into the living room, and a little further every day thereafter.

Nice rocks!
I agree - making the dreaded living room into a cat party room is the way to go.

Those are super cute cat rocks. I can't tell how big they are from the photo, but I have a black-and-gray one that is about 5 x 8. I got it from the farmer's market.

Spitty how do you resist whapping those kitties it would be very hard as they are shaped for purrfect whappiablity.

Oh, you has a Spitty rock! Which 'cept for the pink nosie looks just like you. We are happy that you are feeling better. Purrs.

Laura & Taffy

PS: I think Nellie's idea is a good one. Let Spitty go in there on his own. Laura

What cute rocks! Our sneaky mom would put treats in the living room then wait for us to go in there on our own. She can be really underhanded that way.

Callie (a.k.a. Trouble) said...

Those are great looking rocks Spitty! We agree with Nellie also, just let Spitty make his own way into the living room.

oh Spitty, I know your fear...Dad snatches me once a month 'cuz I won't let them pick me up...and they clip my nails..and then for a whole month I run when he comes near the bed...they just let me take my own time to get comfy again, then unfortunately for all of us, I grow my nails and we start over...but you don't have to go again in one month, so take your time getting back to living room...purrrrrrrrrs Savvy
