Spittyless Sunday

So the Human and her friend went up into the Berkeley Hills Friday (no, they didn't hike, they drove, because they are Doddering Old People*), and the Human made this little video from a spot right above the campus (which is A&W&M's Dad's Alma Mater). You can see the campanile (a 307' bell tower in the middle of campus) and a whole bunch of boring other stuff, too.

Warning: I am not in it. Sigh. But if you listen carefully, you'll hear that at least the Human knew I should be!

*Full disclosure: They actually did attempt a nice hike in Redwood Regional Park, but the Human was hot, and the trail had a lot of uphill, and there were signs like this one:
and warnings about ticks and rattlesnakes, and after about five minutes, she began whining and complaining and carrying on, so their planned hour-long hike turned into a 20-minute walk, perhaps to the chagrin of A&W&M's Dad, who nevertheless gallantly agreed that perhaps this was not the day for a hike after all.

Oh Spitty, your human sounds like such fun. And yes your appearance would have made it all better, not that it wasn't beautiful but a cat is such an addition. And by the way our Person is very doddering too. She can barely make it down to the mail box. Have a great weekend.

Oh, as long as they weren't hungry, I'm sure those mountain lions would have left your human and her companions alone!

Does that make her feel safer?

OK Spitty, we agree, your Human is lame. Although OUR Mommy would EXPIRE without RUNNING WATER within reach at all times. She is a civilization addict.

We think skipping the hike was a good choice by the humans :)

A cat would make that better! But then, a cat makes everything better!

We're glad you have your cloak of invisibility for when the human is around more, Star must have one too.... Or else when I cant find her, she's over visiting you. Oh, she says yes, she will be over later, hoping for some pink beddy snuggles I think..

Ick! Ticks? Yuck. Not quite sure what we think about the rattlesnakes and mountain lion, though. Tutu says she doesn't mind rattling the snake...heh heh.

Spitty this is probably safer to ride than hike as Mom knew two people who got lyme from hiking. Those buggies have been very prominent lately

Spitty, Caroline got all fainty when she saw the title of this! And even though you didn't get to go, she's relieved you're OK. And at least your human thought of you while *she* was out having fun.

first, my Mom says to tell your Mom's friend "GO BEARS"!!!...what ever that means...shakes head..and Mom really luvs that park so she is sad to learn they did not enjoy it. She did not see any mtn lion signs, and they just stayed on the trails, which were very wide...and one was even mostly paved called the creek trail...maybe your Mom didn't go in the main entrance??? Oh! Your Mom can come over and my Mom will walk with her! there ya go, Paw pats, Savannay
