The Answer Kitty

Well, aren't you all just a bunch of Smartypantses! Even those of you who got it wrong were pretty darn clever in the process! And I know it was you Kitties, because the Humans are probably still stuck on the first line, MOL!

So, the Official Answer is:  Tongue.
(Behind a white wall~teeth, though so small but stronger than all~jaw muscle produces the most force in the human body, I have to prove~your ideas and thoughts by talking
from www.braingle.com)

So, as of this writing, we think Simba, King Punapippuri, Prancer Pie, Whisppy, MeowMeowMans, and Mark'sMews* got it right! Someone guessed a grandfather clock, and several kitties thought it might be a white chess piece. Nice going, Furiends!
*A self-reported cheater, however

Now, we have one more challenge for you! Here are seven words that ordered in the correct way make a simple and logical English sentence:
number
five
palm's
fingers
than
my
my
Your mission, Kitties, should you choose to accept it, is to Make That Sentence.
As usual, should you be ungrammatical or use poor spelling, King Spitty will disavow any knowledge of your activities.

Answer tomorrow!

  1. What is this Spitster ? English lessons?! And there's not even a prize! My English is pretty good but it is not my mother tongue so I consider this unfair. Aila and Stran come from the streets so they have not received the best education so my only hope is Harris and Lewis who are a bit too quiet for this sort of thing. But maybe I shall think about it, and then start setting you Finnish grammar tests. Pah!

  2. And yes, it's the 'than' that has us confused!! Palm's, fingers and five- no problem!

  3. Oh my gosh... my head hurts already! I can almost do it, but there's one 'my' too many for what I think it is... so I think I'm wrong..

Star says: Hmm, you look wonderful in that crown, Spitty. Very regal. Purrrfect... Can I come over and knock it off your head by licking your ears? hee hee

  4. If you think I missed my calling, wait til you see tomorrow's post! It's almost midnight here, I won't even begin to guess.

  5. Thinking outside the box...

"MY FIVE FINGER NUMBERS", Tom said secretively, "makes MY PALM'S line more unreadable THAN readable,

"NUMBER FIVE PALM'S FINGERS THAN MY MY" seems like a secret code, said Tom, "cryptically".

"I'll take NUMBER FIVE down to MY chamber and drip water on his PALM'S FINGERS until MY victim cracks, rather THAN just use the kitties to tread on him" said Tom, tortuously.

To the tune of "one"... "FIVE FINGERS in the air, expressing what The HANd's PALM'S can show! MY MY, isn't it amazing just what NUMBERS can do?...

We could go on, but we'll have mercy on you all...

  6. Okay, I'll mull over this latest thing and get back to you.

I am stunned, (STUNNED!) that the answer wasn't the king in a chess set. I was SO sure that Caren and Cody and I were right, I was gloating about how "great minds think alike." Heavens to murgatroid, how embarrassing.

  7. Yes!! I have it cracked.

I was being dumbER about a number.......

Hehehehehe. Now I can rest easy. King Spitty I shall email you so as not to spoil it for the others. I think I should now award myself a PhD in English language.

    Nice one, King Spitty!

Now Äiti is going to go outside where it is -13'C and her hands will go chilly and feelingless

  8. 'Chin up old bean' - what sort of comment is that to leave, Spitster!? That' no way to talk about your linguistic equal - and it's not my own language!

  9. Thanks for the hint, Punapippuri. We got it. Very clever indeed. Don't get any colder.

  10. This is what I came up with:

My palm's number than my fingers.

I decided that number did not mean "1, 2, 3, 4" etc. but number (as in numb....cold). I don't even know if adding an "er" to numb makes it a real word and I'm too lazy to look it up.

    ReplyDelete
  11. OK, we, "ER", get it now. MOL!...

Good one. Reminds us of the old gods Owa, Tana, and Siam. You chant their names over and over until you unnerstand.

"Owa tana siam"... "Owa tana siam"... "Owa tana siam"...

  12. Since I am a cat, I have no palms and no fingers and therefore your excersize is irrelephant.

  16. Hahaha. Thank you, Punapippuri for the helpful hint. Since the answer's been given by Mr Black (just need to add the FIVE), we'll sit this one out. :)

  17. wow, first of all...I am afraid I offended everyone cuz I didn't get even one star back from the kitties and doggies I passed that award to...hmmm..have to run off and think about that one...now for the riddle of the words...
if it makes a logical "sentence in English" then is must have a verb. I don't see a verb???...or is it "number"?hmmmm

  18. Spitty, it is one in the morning and my human has to get up at 10 to 8 (an ungodly hour for her!) and write a blog post and a newsletter for ME - BOTH our brains are fried!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Good heavens it is way too early to use this old old brain. But it sounds like some people have it figured out. This is kind of fun. Take care.

  26. I think this is what was really making Caroline sad yesterday. She's just not all that clever at stuff like this. Or anything, really.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I got it! I got it! But only because Punapippurri gave a very good hint :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ah ha we got it! But you made us work for it Spitty!

    ReplyDelete
  29. are you sure there isn't a mistake? :) But I see that others got it! I'm lost!!

  31. Concatulations to the "you think winners" of the riddle.

  32. Others have figured it out already. Thank cod! We didn't want to show how stoopid we are.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh Cod, we don't stand a chance..BOL have noted them down and will have a go :) x00xx

  34. Geez, it took the human hours and then she had to read all the comments to come up with the answer: my palm's number than my five fingers.
Thank you Spitty. All this time she could have been working for me instead. Thank you. You're not my Roi Soleil anymore!
