To Climb, or Not to Climb

                                                               . . . . . that is the question:
Whether 'tis Nobler in the park to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Mockery,
Or to take Paws against my Sea of cowardice,
And by ascending tame it: to climb, to seek
The top; and by this climb, to find the end
Of faint-heartedness, and the thousand Natural shocks
That Fur is heir to? 'Tis a consummation
                                                              Devoutly to be wished.

It looks kind of high though. I think I'll just have a nappy instead.

Tis better to abide in your Hamlet

We're with you, Spitty! Climbing is nice and all, but to nappy is divine!

Don't I remember you're the cat who never climbs up on anything? Or was that pre-surgery? Go ahead, climb the tree. I'll be right behind you. Heh heh.

Go for it, Spitlet.

I bet if Caroline screamed real loud right behind you, you'd be right up there! ::snort::

We have no doubt that you can climb to the top. Our concern is how you'd get down.

Naw, just mark it with your special sent and go nap in the pink beddie instead!

I think I'll stick with my cat tree.

I should choose the nap option, buddy, otherwise you might find that in climbing you might catapult off this mortal coil! ;)

Don't worry about the softy thing. I think no one's noticed so far ;)

Have I ever mentioned that I love your twists on the Bard? I think a nap is a better idea, Spitty, or at least don't go too many branches up...

Star says: Spitty, you are the worlds best footsie warmer and I adore snuggling with you! You can share my butterfly quilt anytime you want, purrrrrrrr

Oh Spitty, that looks way too high. A nap is a much better idea. But a great picture and good writing. Take care.

NAP! Otherwise you might hurt yourself and the collective moans from all the ladycats in the Country would cause an earthslide...somewhere! xox

Give it a good scratching first Spiity, then decide!

Is this a vote? If so, I vote for climbin'. I'm still bein' told by ol' peepers to not be climbin' any trees so I would like to climb this, vicariously, through you. Okay?

Whoa!! That is waaaaaaaaaaay too tall to climb!!!! How in the world would you ever get BACK DOWN!?

The Furries of Whisppy said...

Best not to nap under all those branches, Spitty. Birdies like to sit on branches and they aren't litter box trained!

Kitties Blue said...

Spitty…we know you are a totally inside cat, so unless that tree sprung out of your living room floor, we know you're going to be napping. It does look like quite the challenge and may require some extra sit-ups and stretches if it is your desire to tackle this. Oh Spitty that looks like a great challenge and we bet you can do it all the way to the top but, your human may not approve. Especially if she has to get you down.

Go for it Spitty! You will have a great view from up there and it is easy to do. The harder part is coming back down.

oh! Spitty! I has been trapped - TRAPPED inside an empty house and just now was released from the torments of loneliness to see just HOW MUCH I MISSED you. O! My Bard! such a lubberly soliloquy! I can only mew this in response, my favorite line o' teh Fair OFelinia:

"He hath, my lord, of late made many Tenders Vittles
Of his affection to me."

She didn't ever get to say much in that play, that poor OFelinia, I noticed, so it's the best I gots. Always reminds me o' you, tho...
