Happy Halloween, Part Deux

The Human did not dress up, but at least made an effort
to gussy up her office.

I ask you, Kitties: Would you be willing to learn anything from these people?

You wanna make something of it?

Catching Up with the Cousins

The psychodrama continues at Chez W, A, M. Wally continues to two-time
the loyal Aggie with Madie, the Multi-Toed Lolita, who, as you can see, has taken up
opera (here, she trills the flirtatious "Quando m'en vo" from La Boheme). She has very nearly completed her devious plan to steal Aggie's handsome ManCat,
and keep him for herself.
Fortunately, being the Chief Noe Valley Viceroy has given Aggie's life meaning again.
Here, she sleeps comfortably on the job.

The Lord Chancellor

The King was in his Pink Beddy
slumbering the slumber of the righteous.

And where was his Human, you may ask?
Well, she was off doing Corporal Works of Mercy,
feeding and cuddling Fritzie, the Lord Chancellor,
whose Peeps apparently found it acceptable to take off for the weekend,
leaving him alone, starving and unloved!
What an outrage, Kitties! Just look at that desperate face!

P.S. Sunday a.m.: Who loves ya, Baby?

Mowing the Grass

just in time for the new greenery! It's delicious!

Spitty McSunpuddles

Now that the weather has unmuggified
itself, and San Francisco's natural air
conditioning has been turned back on,
I can once again bask in the glory of mid-
morning sunpuddles.

I am really enjoying my comfortable
meditation
on what's right in Spitty's feline world:

Pinkie has gone missing,
the Human has been generous with the Gerber's,
the hated Dodgers lost the NLCS,
and I feel a nap coming on right . . . . .

now.

Am I Still Cross?

You'll have to decide for yourselves, Kitties!

Saturday, October 19, 2013

Oh, It's You

Yeah, I'm not speaking to you.
I'm sure Pinkie has plenty of time for ya, though.

♫ ♫ Am I Lonesome Tonight? ♫

Well, Day 3 of my mistreatment at the hands
of an indifferent Human has come and gone.

I have been given assurances that as of tomorrow, regular activities will resume--
brushie times, play times, blog-visiting times.

But we've all been suckered in by our
oh-so-repentant Humans before, have we
not, Kitties?

And yet, and yet...she sounds so sincere.

I don't know what to think. But it never hurts for a boy to be at his cleanest, does it? Just in case.

S-p-i-t-t-y

                              minus -t-y + e = Spite
                              which is what I feel
as I plot my next move.

Woe Is I

                   First quarter has ended;
                   The grades are now due.
                   My Human ignores me--
                   I'm feeling so blue.

A Veritable Plethora of Awards!

Over the past several months, we have received some awards from our dear furiends, and then we got ridiculously behind on posting them. We saw another kitty who made a collage and so, in the belief that late is better than never ::glares at Human::, we decided it was high time we followed suit. So without further ado, we say a heartfelt Thank You to

1 Swami Zoe who sent us the Opposites Attract a couple of weeks ago. I was totally godsmacked that such a beauteous girl gave me this. XOXOXO

2 My buddy Nerissa who gave me the Why I Love Thee award (way back in February--how embarrassing!), which I hasten to say was not to indicate he loved me, but rather to suggest I explain why I love my Human. Hmmm. I still have to think on that some more!

3 The fabulous Prancer Pie who passed along the Illuminating Blogger Award, and I think there were rules! The one I will follow is to thank him profusely (and Princeton and Precious too, cause I know Sweet Precious had something to do with it, right??)

4  The Femme Fatales Nellie and Star, who sent me the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award, to which I say, "I'll be on your team anytime, my darlings!"

5  Nerissa again, who also shared the Purrime Ministerette of Planet Purrth Award, which had such complex rules we was all flummoxed. We think it's probably 'cause we don't have Prime Minister here, only a President and since I am the King I don't pay much attention to such things. But I think this has something to do with a couple of kitties who are Purrime Ministerettes of the Whole Planet Purrth, and to tell you the truth, I'm kinda scared to find out too much about them because maybe they might not let me be King anymore?

6  Nerissa (again!) AND my Lovely Queen Katie Isabella who sent me the
My Favorite Things Award. The rules say I should list six favorite things but I know two for sure: Katie Isabella & Nerissa!

7 All the fantastic kitties from Cat on my Head (especially the LadyCats) who gave me this wonderful Dragon Loyalty Award. It is a mighty badge that I display with Feline Pride and gratitude to my furiends at Cat on my Head!

8 Guess Who? Yep, Nerissa once again for the Best Moment Award.
The rules say that I'm supposed to write an acceptance speech, so I will say I am grateful every day for my furiends in the blogworld: kitties, Humans, and otherwise (Hi, woofies and goaties!) The Human & I love reading your blogs and having you read ours. And that's a really short speech but this post is about the longest one we ever made and we don't want you to fall asleep!

Thanks to efurryone -- You are all The Best Pals a Kitty could have!

The Last Viceroy

I, Jane the Woofie, do swear that I will well and truly serve
our Sovereign King, Spitty I, in the office of Viceroy of Cole Valley
and I will do right to all manner of Felines
after the laws and usages of this realm,
without fear or favor, affection or illwill.
                                  So help me Ceiling Cat.

The Lions That Roared

The Beauteous Nellie needed a nap
after re-sculpting yesterday's lions
to reflect their true inner glory:
Thanks, Nellie! I think they look much better and fiercer now

The King of Beasts

The Human visited these guys last weekend at the entrance to Sutro Park.
Even in my city, I bow to their Kingliness.
But I bet they don't have Viceroys.

Another Satisfying Day: Viceroy News

Guess what, Kitties? My final Viceroy appointment will fall into place
this weekend with the arrival of Jane the Pooch at her home in Cole Valley
(the mysterious * on the Official Viceroy Map). Now, Kitties, I have
anticipated your concerns and objections. I am sending the Human to meet
Jane in person and administer the Loyalty Oath which will be required
of her as a Woofie in service of the King.
A full report will be filed and (finally!) a badge will be made available to all
Viceroys in Good Standing. Right after I join up with the Cat Scouts, of course.
                     First things first.

Wonderful Wednesday

I haven't had a furball in five days.
The temperature at 5:34 p.m. is 63° F and dropping.
The Human bought me some new sparkly balls today
and they are super play-worthy.
We have a three-day weekend coming up for Columbus Day
and I will (finally) get to join Cat Scouts.
I got some delicious new food.
Hmmm. . . what else?
Well, that's enough for now, Kitties.
I hope your day is just as spectacular!

The Human Went to the Giant Sandbox . . .

and all I got was this stupid picture.

P.S. I don't think those Humans understand what the sand is for, do you?

P.P.S.: Thanks, Ceiling Cat! I owes you one. As of 7:28 p.m.,
                        it is 59 fantastic degrees!

This Is My Chair, Too

In response to Texas's comment on my previous post,
I hasten to assure everyone:
All the chairs R belong to me.
It was 88° today, and thus far I see no sign
of our beloved giant, fluffy fog bank.
One must always maintain hope, though, and perhaps
tomorrow it will make an appearance?

My Chair

And I don't feel like moving right now.
Sorry we've been a bit scarce--it has been miserably hot
(well, by my standards anyway--it was 86° today
and that's about 20 degrees warmer than I approve of).
The Human went out gallivanting today and came home crabby,
so frankly we're not much happier today than we were                                                                                         yesterday.
                                               Tomorrow, maybe?

TGIF?
Grumble.
Grumble.

It's hot. It's muggy. There are wildfires in surrounding counties making the air miserable and smoky. I am still having furball tummy troubles. I would like to take a nice long nap and forget all my woes. What'dya think? Sound good?
The Human's feeling kind of cranky.  I think she needs a nap, too.

So we're quite the pair today.

Afternoon Delight

                                  There's nuffing like a good scratch-and-stretch
to get the ol' juices flowing as you get ready
                                  for Afternoon Nappy #2.
