This & That & That & This

I want to thank the wonderful kitties at 15andmeowing for giving me this really fun award! I must link to my favorite song (easy peasy) and choose some blogs to share this award with (less easy peasy). It's supposed to be ten but I am going to cheat and choose five. They are:
The Celestial Kitties
Emma and Buster
Lone Star Cats
Mickey's Musings
                                                  Savannah's Paw Tracks

Okay, *one* of our favorites is Van Morrison's Brown-Eyed Girl which you can listen to here! Any Kitty Furiend who does not yet have this award, please take it and share your favorite song with us.

My Beloved Katie Isabella invited me and the Human to pawticipate in the Writing Process Blog Tour. We are almost too embarrassed to respond, and if we didn't love her and her mommy so much, we probably wouldn't, but the plain fact is we are putty in their hands, so here goes:

Question 1:  What are we working on?
We are working on getting a post up alllllllmost every day, though not so successfully (we have posted 203 times in 230 days. By my way of thinking we have missed practically a whole month! I can hardly bear to think of how these stats will look by Christmas!) I don't call that "almost every day" but the Human just tells me to shut my furry little mouf.
Question 2:  Why do we write what we do?
Well, we try (with some modest success) to be funny and lighthearted 98% of the time. We think almost every kitty and Human can use a smile in their day and if we manage that, it's all good. Also, the Human has too much serious stuffs like Hamlet and accreditation reports in her day already to try to write thoughtful little essays like some of our favorite bloggers do.
Question 3:  How does our writing process work?
The Human comes home from work. We look through pictures we've recently taken. (She almost never creates posts ahead of time so we are always posting on the fly.)  We purray inspiration will strike. If it doesn't within 10 minutes or so, then *I* don't get to have a blog post that day. Does that sound fair to you? No, I don't think so either. But, in that totally meaningless and irritating modern cliché, It is what it is.

Spitty, that song is one of the mom's favorite songs. Probably because she has brown eyes. Congrats on your award.

The day Mommy heard the unexpurgated version she had New Respect for Van Morrison! (stoopy 70's AM radio...)

Spitty, believe it or not, your human appears to be MORE organized than ours! Truly.

Most interesting! Brown Eyed Girl is a lovely song - we were not aware of a 'full' version! And your Human's technique is generally working and despite all the teasing we do appreciate your blog. So hurrah for creative writing.

First, we assume the S in the award stands for "Spitty" (in your case). Second, we think "98% funny an light-hearted" is a good idea. Third, cutting it down to 5 is a great idea that will make things easier on the next recipients. Fourth, "203 of 230 is 88.3% and we would like ta see anny PRO ATHLETE do that in anny SPORT.

And 5th, "LOVE YOU SPITTIKINS"! ~ Iza Lovey

Concatulations on your award! I'm supposed to post this too... but I need to come up with an appropriate song. The one my human wants me to use is NSFCB (Not Safe For Cat Blogging)!

Congratulations on your awardie! and thank you for passing it on to us!

Star says: My mom claims to blog every week day but not on weekends, but with TSO's wedding that went way down. I think we're way below losing a month, so count yourself lucky! Maybe we should get together and have a little 'pick on our human's' session, hmm? It can accompany some ear lickies too. Purrrrrr

Spitty, that was (of course) inspired! I love knowing how you think and how you get action out of your Human. And Mom and I feel the same way about you and your mom. I know you know that throughout our years as furriends. About being funny...you have made mommy laugh out LOUD before 6 in the morning! That is an accomplishment. She gets up, and after feeding me comes into the computer room and sees what you said...MOL for her and for me. She seems to think the strife between certain mancats, me and you are the stuff of hilarity! Oh no, she's starting to quake thinking of Ru Paul comments...I am bouncing off her lap...helpppppp....

Congratulations on your award and I enjoyed reading your answers for writing process tour.
For me, 203 posts in 230 days is pretty amazing. And your posts always brighten up my day :-)

Spitty, that is the same song our mom picked when we won that award. Amazing! And guess what, we wrote about our writing process today, but Mom was way more wordy. Figures! Like Mom Mary, our Mom doesn't do much planning ahead and definitely no writing ahead of time. That is an incredible # of posts. Just think, if there were more posts, there would be more photos taken of you. Thank you for sharing. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

ok Spitty...you have encouraged us to take on the Writing Tour challenge too. Kitties Blue has invited us so we will try. And Spitty, it is a great honor to have you and your human pass this award to me. I have it, but not with this very cool graphic so I am gonna grab it and add it to my "Bling" pull down page. And I also would do anything Miss Katie Isabella asked of me; she is so special

Spitty we love your humor and the way you send your message to your human. We think you done great with 203 postings out of 230. Mom has to do ours in advance. Otherwise we might have 10 out of 230! Mouses as Nissy says we'd rather she prepost for us!

Unknown said...

If I had the nerve to do it, I would go back to count the months and days I posted until I came up with 203. I am just afraid I would have to go back to 2010! We are still trying, though.
