Sunday Selfie:
I stuck in a feet
And pulled out a treat
And said, "What a good boy am I!"

Kitties! Last night, the Human had the very tiniest of dinner parties for a dear Human friend who retired last month. Would you believe Yours Truly joined into the festivities just like he was a normal, friendly Boy? I even allowed Aggie & Wally & Madie's Human Dad to pet me. Yes, Kitties, he touched me! Can you believe that, Scouty!?

Did you hiss at him after he petted you? That’s what I did with TW’s friend Theresa. I let her touch me and then a arched my back, lowered my ears and hissed at her.

Aaaaah - I see what's happening here, Spitty. You figure that your Human has been regaling her friends with how difficult she finds it to keep you happy - not because she's underskilled, but because you're so touchy and demanding. So, this was an excellent way to put her right back in her place. Provide a hands-on demonstration of what a loving, friendly and easy-going chappie you are. That will show her who's the superior player in this little game!

I think the human drugged you, Spitty. I would be very suspicious of your food and water--make her taste everything first!

Spitty, aren't you turning into a little social butterfly. Showing off your wining & dining skills with humans who are complete strangers to you. Groveling to the Human's guests for pets & to be told what a "good boy" you are. It is a pathetic situation when a royalty such as yourself starts mingling with with common humans in order to get tossed a generic compliment & a few pets from strangers. If you want to maintain your reputation as being snarky, antisocial & cantankerous then act like it and be more selective about showing your softer side. You are teetering on verge of becoming a common house kit-teh.rather than the royal figurehead that you were born to be. This radical change in behavior makes us wonder if these PDA is the result of having your man-cat naughty bits surgically removed or could it be that our Spittikins is developing feline multiple personality disorder? Time will tell.

You make us laugh, Ellen in Oregon! Ha ha ha--that's exactly right! As Spitty's Human I am concerned about this sudden turnabout in his demeanor. I think he's angling for better food and more playtimes.
