Update Update Update Update Update

Hi Kitties, Humans and Other Creatures:

The Human has been Down For The Count, as they say, basically since Valentine's Day, She made her return debut at her job today (and wasn't that a pretty thing? not) and feels that a two-day work week was just about the right re-entry speed. Absent major or minor relapses, she tells me we should reappear along about Sunday Selfie time.

This illustration she oh-so-carefully borrowed from Creative Commons (requiring as it said "no attribution" but we're scared anyway, so here) is far too youthful and flattering, but does reflect the general ambiance in Casa Spittola for the past 10 days or so.  Humans. Such a bunch of whiners.

Spitty - I've been very worried about you. The silence had me imagining all manner of disappointments being heaped upon you, so it was very good of you to push the Human out of her sick bed to assist you to post this update for us. You poor poor pusscat. How have you been coping? Who's been opening the cans of cat food? Has the litter tray been cleaned regularly? Has the Human arranged for someone to call in and spend quality time playing with you?

I can only imagine how dire it's been for you. All I can suggest is phoning the agency to say that they should come and take the Human away and replace her with one that isn't broken. But, knowing you as I do, I expect that you will soldier on, stoically, until such time as the normal (sub-standard) level of service can resume.

Do pass on my get well wishes to the Human please - if she doesn't improve quickly, I don't know how I'll handle my anxiety on our behalf.

Spitty, the older they are, the longer it takes to fix them. We know.

Poor Spitty, once again you have poor service from your staff. Well, let's hope that some cuddling with you will assist in the matter! (Get well soon, Spitty's mom!)

We don't know how you do it, Spitty. The long suffering days and nights and still, you remain solid, a rock against ill-tossed waves. Our utmost respect goes out to you, and because our Mom is a softy, she insists we send soft paw pats to your mom. Okay, here *pat pat dab dab*

They are a tad whiney....but they do feed us so we must - alas - be brave and put up with the whine. Sad isn't it!

A lot of people have had that two-week thing! I don't know if my human had it or not, because she was only REALLY down for a couple of days, but she was sick for nearly a week and still has some leftover coughs. (Probably because she has gone back to eating cheese - she held out for two weeks and couldn't stand it any longer!)

Oh Spitster - we feel for you. But at least she got out to get foods and you had a brief reprieve from all that coughing and snotting.

Spitty, you have been through an inconvenience of major proportion. AND you have had to see to it that your Human lived through this sickie she had. Additionally, you had to concern yourself about how to get her into the PTU to be picked up by taxi for the Human Vet in case you determined she had to go in the event that your tender ministrations were not quite all she needed! You have my standing invitation to slip through the tunnel at midnight as always and sup with me. I have your favorite cream too for an aperitif. We longer-in-the-fangs kitties need our elegance after all. Admiral told me in the darkest of the night time last night, that she will be on the other side of the veil waiting too...just for you, her love. See you tonight. Tell your Human to cope. But Mom said feel all the way better soon! Hope this heralds the end!

I am sorry your Human has been ill, and hope she soon feels better again. You must be exhausted after all the nursing you had to do.

Guess what, TW has been sickly too. First she was sure it was a sinus inflection but I told her to suck it up. She has one good day, then she goes out and feels lousy the next day. Glad your human is feeling better.

Oh Spitty! You have been sorely tried!! These humans are such whingers! The Staff is having a "procedure" this week and you'd think it was the end of the world!! Anyways, it's been far too long, buddy!!

*ignores Katie Isabella's blatant flirting above* ;-)
