                             A Kitty Who Came Before

And when I say before, I mean Before. Like, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before.
She got Fluffy, the lovely black-and-white girl you see above,
when she was about four years old. By way of telling you how long ago
that was, I will say that Eisenhower was still in his first term. Fluffy was mostly
an outside kitty, though in her later years, the Human's mother
relented and Fluffy spent more time inside. She was a hissy old thing, as likely
to nip at you as purr, but she was very fond of the Human. I think having her
was good preparation for getting me just about 50 years later.

I do like me a tuxie pusscat, Spitty. (They are, in fact, my very very favourite kind of pusscats - sorry!) It's nice to meet Fluffy - what fabulous colouration on her face! It's probably just as well that Fluffy was hissy and bitey - it probably lowered your Human's expectations of cats in general and you in particular. I agree that having such a pusscat at a very early age did provide some foundation for her being employed by you now - if only she'd had lots of pusscats in between times. They could each have added a little more training so that by the time you picked her up, she might have been fully skilled to provide top quality services. Still, as I've said before, you've been very good to her in taking her on even though she's fairly, um, ah ... inadequate is probably the politest way of saying it.

She sounds a bit like my human's cat before Sparkle, Harlot. Harlot was beautiful... and she had SUCH a temper! But she was utterly devoted to my human. They were a team... a different kind of team than I am with her! I'm kind of the anti-Harlot.

We bet your human loved that little girl to no end. She is a beauty, and somehow, humans can forgive us cats when we get (or stay) cranky.

How fun that your mom has these photos. Our mom has exactly one photo each of two of the many cats they had when she was little. Fluffy was very pretty. Hope to see you for the hop tomorrow. Oh she is adorable. I love tux puddies. Recently I had 2 b & w's, short haired and med haired. Short hair lad MakieNoodleDoodle from Pleasantville, Nova Scotia who refused to be an inside kitty died in Dec 2017, LeoSeppyPeppy who is from Halifax, Nova Scotia and is now heading towards 13 yrs is a treasure. Nice to see your postings again !!

Fluffy was a pretty girl and just think - she was able to "get all the kinks" out of your human before you came into her life!!
