String Theory

Now pay careful attention, Kitties
This is Advanced Maffamaticks!
String theory is an active research framework in particle Feline-Physics that attempts to reconcile string color mechanics and the general relativity of the Kitty to the carpet.

It is a contender for a theory of everything (TOE*), a self-contained creamy maffamatickal model that describes all fundamental forces and forms of Feline entertainment and food.

String theory posits that the elementary particles (i.e., kittens and toys) within a Feline's Realm  are not zero-dimensional objects, but rather 1-dimensional oscillating line-toys ("strings").

* Not to be confused with THOE, or Thundering Herd of Elephants, a game extremely popular in multi-cat households, although equally entertaining in its solitaire version.

  2. We've never been very good at maffamaticks, Spitty.

  3. We kittehz don't know ToE, but we know THoE and the Mommy says that she doesn't know "Jack". We don't know anybody named Jack, either. Happy Caturday, anyways!

  4. YOur human has been delving into the science department again, Spitty. I remembers when she was visiting the Chemistry students. Now she seems to have picked up some stuff from the advanced Physics students and passed it on to you. Audrey would like a TOE that would allow conversion of all matter into wetfood and for there to be a continuous transformation occurring.

  5. Physics was never my strong suit - the string appears, I whap it, and that is good enough for me!

  6. I'm quite familiar with BOTH theories.

Waffles Too love to bite theories of everything.
..and Waffles Too (surprise) sounds like a THOE.

Me? Well I'm a perfect lady. Perfect.

  7. Spitty you are just too smart! We all knows you are a multee-dimensional, Renaissance kitty- But the big question efurry kitty wants to knows is how many simultaneous dimensions does your string vibrate in at any given time?

(When you can works a way fur the kittles to obtain superposition, please lets me know, I would likes to be at my food dish and takes a nap at the same time.)

    Brilliant post!

  8. We didn't know you have a Feline Physics degree from MIT!

  9. Ahem... pardon me... I have to do this first... SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Spitty! Seeing you play with your stringy is far far far too cute! Right up there with Leo playing with his! Now, you know you're not really a full blown string theorist until you HAVE to sleep with your string.. Just ask Leo.

Star says: Oh my! Spitty, you make my heart go pitty pat! Listen, I stole one of the Barbaran's strings (yes, he has FOUR! and here I only have 6 balls and 3 kickies and two butterflies! Shocking!) Anyway, I stole one and brought it downstairs. When my parents and the Barbarian go upstairs, you can come over and we'll study string theory half the night. The other half of the night we can devote to snuggling and snacking. Purrrr XOXOXOXOXO

  10. Spitty - where do you find this stuff. String theory - well, I just know the theory here is that string is the bestest toy every - even beats catnip!

  11. Oh my goodness, Spitty, careful trying to get our person to think. She isn't good at that. Too funny. But it is a great study as to the string angle to paw and floor. Anyway we all got a good laugh. Take care.

  12. Now that is the best explanation of TOE I have read. And clearly understandable although I too am not maffamatickal as a general rule. The string theory will be proven as it is based on the same observations over the world throughout time. It is an axiom--a standard.

  13. Hahahaha! Spitty you are a jeanieous!! I have my own very short string theory which morphs into THOE at the drop of a ... welll..... piece of string!

  14. Thanks for confirming that Spitty, I suspected that all along MOL!

  15. Hmmm, we have been pondering this . There are 11 dimensions predicted in string theory - how many are you aware of ? And you need to be very worried about theoretical physiscs and someone called Schrödinger.

  16. Oh cat this is a THOE household..MOL
You are too funny :) xx00xx

  17. we can play both at my house. come over.
also, if someone had told Mrs. W. that maffs could be creeeeeaaaaamy, well, she would have quite a few PhD's by now. and maybe even a Real Life. i'll let her know so she can get working on that.

  18. Now that is math and physics I can get behind, sure it's agreed upon by all feline kind.

  19. FaRADaY: we has now edumacated our daddy on this so that he'll make sure to alter his curriculum ro reflect the PROPER understanding of String Theory. PAWEsome!

  20. Uh, Spitty, what'd she just say? You go ahead and pay no attention, after all you've got string on your mind.

  21. We aren't so sure about ToE but we are definitely a THoE! MOL.

No, I didn't frow up but those little paper *cups* came out my other end. Oh and Mommycat had to pry open the pieces open to be sure they were all there. HAHAHA!

  22. Therefore...

    F=sc²

(fun equals string times the speed of cat squared)

  23. CC says, Maff is hard.

    Bless his little heart...

  24. Ahem. Er, Spitty: my human claims your THOE game is really talking about kitties and not elephants. Or rather, you are comparing kitties to elephants. Is that true?
(needless to say my human can't stop laughing. I am not laughing)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh Spitty I love it when you talk in all those big words! Purrrrrrsss

  26. Can't I just admire the pics? Crossing my paws for the Niners.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well of course evrything is made of string. What else IS there? Toys, cat tree carpet, beds, blankies...

  28. Have you sent this paper to Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory? You should. You really, really should. purrs

  29. Patches brought a fun string toy when he moved it. We will study string theory in relation to TOE and expand our minds a bit.

  30. hmmmm...now you had like a whole bunch a words there that should of had (VBP) potential, just sayin...and you do so do something other than just nap Spitty, lookin' good my furriend, oh yeah, I am also skilled at THOE all on my own...ask Dad...heh...heh
