Easy Sunday: Sun-Spit

Hello, Kitties:  The waning days of our peculiar Bay Area summer have arrived, and soon the sun puddles will not warm my furs as efficiently as they do even now.
Today The Humans return to Standard Time, which makes no difference to me, understanding as I do that Nature provides the same number of daylight hours no matter what those silly Humans choose to call them.
My Human is pleased at the departure of "Daylight Savings Time," as she is tired of arising in what feels like the middle of the night and arriving at work under cover of darkness.

Hope you all find something amusing to occupy your "extra hour." Me, I'll be napping (and you can all keep those smart-aleck remarks to yourselves if you know what's good for you)!

  1. I really enjoyed our tryst on the blue pillows last night. In fact, I'm ready for another go-round. Yes, now it may be light when I get my morning foods but Pop will have to come home in the dark.

  2. We're still having lots of sun puddles here in SE Oklahoma, Spitster. It might be time to drag the Furrari out of the garage and hit the road!

Either way, have a super easy Sunday!

  3. You should hear my mom go on about the stupid time change. But she is an old bat and remembers when DST didn't last 4 million months.

It's tomorrow when we'll whine because dinner will be late.

  4. We plan on snoozin' that extra hour. Yep, 17 hours of sleep rather than the usual 16. :)

  7. M is already thinking I'm going to get her up early tomorrow morning cuz I don't know about time changes. I just know what my tummy says. he he - she might be right. I don't think I'll let her have an extra hour of sleep.

  10. The good thing is not just the extra hour of sleep but getting that extra hour & still getting a full day to do what you want to & need to do. Too bad we can't get that every weekend.

  11. This day always means trouble in my house, as Binga and my human start the battle of When Dinner Is.

  12. Our sunpuddles are gone until March now. Pöh. And we do not understand daylight savings time - we just know we get an extra hour napping in autumn. Sorry, fall. Humans are weird, changing the clocks.

  13. Here is NO sunpuddles in sight today either *sigh*
    Just heavy rainclouds :(
Think I will go under cover in da bed instead :)
    Happy Easy Sunday !

  15. I love William's remark here. MY mom is the same...she too remembers when it don't last a squillion months. Leave time alone and let it just do as your mom said, Spitty. Happen.

  16. I've been arriving work in the darkness, too. Now maybe a little sun will show up on my way to work and that's good. Though, I prefer to have longer hour with sun after I get home. I hope you enjoy extra hour of napping :-)

  18. An "extra hour" of sleep is always great! We has had SNOW here already, and it's supposed to snow *again* on Tuesday. We might have to come visit you for some sun!

  19. That extra hour meant we got fed early this a.m. We liked that a whole bunch. Mom likes day-light savings time. Like you, it doesn't matter too much to us, except it usually means that we have to come in from the catio earlier, but since it will be colder, that won't matter either. Enjoy your sun puddle and a nice easy Sunday. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  22. We turned our clock back last weekend, it's cool to have an extra hour, specially on evening when I have to go to bed :o)

  23. How silly of humans to think they actually have an effect on time and sunlight. MOL.

We are going to take it easy today, too, Spitty!

  24. Gosh, all the extra hour and loss of the hour is so confusing. We're glad our time remains the same all year round...

  25. My Mom LOVES the extra hour of sleep! Me? I've been sitting here staring at her waiting for my noon lunch for the past TWO HOURS...she isn't getting up? Wonder why? Love, Cody

  27. Sunpuddles are great! We donts get any today 'cuz it is cloudy. Mom says we might even gets snow...brrr!

We lives where the time doesn't change, which is good 'cuz mom's memory sucks. We has to remind her to feed us everyday, silly bean!

    Have a great nap!

  28. It is rainy and cold today here in Nova Scotia. We are all cozy with our blankies though ;)
Mom does not like the time change. It will be lighter in the AM for a while, but she now will come home in the dark. She is gone for 12 hours a day with the travel time.
Lucky us, we get to snooze all day long :)

  30. Any day which contains and EXTRA hour of slumber is good. We'd like that every day, actually.

  31. I had my extra hour last week but would have liked another one this week. When mum was on her cruise the other day they went to a place in Spain and had to lose an hour to go there. She said it didn't get light until 9am and felt weird going on a tour in the dark.

  32. We had an extra hour last week except no one told me!!! Hehehe!!

  33. I still woke up early. LOL. Hope you find a great sun puddle Spitty.

  34. Glogirly says this fall back stuff is the best thing since chicken pate. Ok, not chicken pate...maybe pink jelly beans. But Waffles and I had to wait another excruciating HOUR for breakfast. So what did we do with our extra hour?
    Wait.
    Pace.
    Wait.
    Pace.
