The Hots, Chapter 2: 85°

I was going to entitle this post: Same Sh*t, Different Day, but the Human told me that was a norty word I wasn't to use, and I said to her, "Well, Human, it's sure part of your daily vocabulary!" and then she told me not to talk back or she'd wash my mouth out with soap, and then I said, "I'd like to see you try" and then she didn't say anything else after that. So then I went to sleep.

A good thing that happened this morning was we gotted a new BED delivered after two weeks of the Human sleeping on a little blow-up mattress on the dining room floor. To be honest, that made both of us pretty cranky.

We took a tiny nappy on it earlier this afternoon and it seems very comfertabuls, and -- MOST IMPORTANT -- bug-free! We hope that the special zippered mattress and box-spring covers keep it that way, too.

  1. 85 degrees is NOT hot in my world! That is pleasant fall weather. It needs to be at least 10 degrees hotter for my human to start complaining.

  2. Seriously, Spitty, we want to trade you for some of that heat.

  6. You were censored!!! Don’t stand for it or nap for it. Whatever. Here’s hoping the bedbugs are gone. TW is going to a pet expo at NYC’s Bedbug Hotel and she’s dreading it. She doesn’t know about bring swag home unless it’s wrapped in plastic. I’m gonna make her strip before she comes in.

  11. Spitty, I'm glad you got a new mattress. Hopefully those nasty bedbugs are gone. Did you have to treat your house with anything? We heard heat kills the little buggers, but I don't think 85 degrees is hot enough. I think cooler weather is coming later this week -- at least that's what they say for the valley. Hopefully the City will cool down and you'll be more comfortable.

  12. Well, in that little verbal sparring match with your human, my vote for Winner would go to you, Spitty. It's nice to know that even when you're hot and tired and crabby, you've still got what it takes to smack her down.
