Woes Я Us

Hello Kitties,
We are so sorry to have basically disappeared from your comment pages, and even from our own blog half the time! There's been a lot of stuffs happening here and while none of it is earth-shattering, the cumulative impact has thrown me and the Human into a deep funk. The problems include computer woes, car woes, health woes (Human and Feline, mostly of the very- irritating-though-not-very-serious sort), a hideous heat-wave, and, maybe worst of all, a bedbug infestation in our building that spread to our apartment (::shudder::), a nightmare of the First Order and with which we are still in the midst of dealing.
So don't give up on us. We expect by Halloween we'll be in the Pink again. Oh pleeeeeze! Thanks for sticking around even though we have been so absent. You're the best!

  1. Oh noes, that is all very awful! Would sending Caroline help at all, because you know I would do that in a heartbeat for you, bud. (But really, if there's anything my mom can do, please let us know!)

  3. wow that sounds like a lot of crap, and bed bugs, ewww, kill those suckers quick. Dia Earth supposedly kills the suckers if you can't get rid of them, just fyi. But can't be breathed by human or cat.

  4. Spitty, you and your human have your paws & hands fully. I hope all is well soon, especially getting rid of the vermin bedbugs.

  5. Thanks for letting us know. All of those relatively minor irritations at once can really get you down, so hang in there. Celebrate the positive steps forward, even if they're only little ones. Look after yourselves. It will all come good - eventually.

  7. But dude you are King, you can command a few little pesky insects, right ? Okay, I am being told that is not possible as bed bugs are like our mosquitoes only indoors. And not flying. *shudder* We hope all is sorted REALLY DAMN FAST as this is no good for you nor the Human. Take it easy dude and try not to stress.

  8. Sending purrs, to you and your human. We hope things get sorted quick, fast, and in a hurry. Don't worry about blogville until you get things straightened out. Good luck!

  12. BEDBUGS?

Spitty dealing, I am now forbidden to cuddle with you...

  13. Bedbugs! Yuck! We've been there, and it is nasty. We love the fact that the bug people come around and spray often. Try diatomaceous earth. It is the only thing that has worked in our building, really, for bedbugs, although the bug guys try. That earth stuff-- you dust it into the mopboards, in between your mattress and box springs, any where you can think of. Doesn't harm cats!!
Home Depot has it, and Target, but HD has an entire kit with it. We recommend that.

  15. Um, but it appears my dear Nats base ballers have survived a game with your guys (FINALLY). So we will see what happens later today. If we win today, it will surely be a GREAT game when they both come back here for the last one. We're watching the games REAL CLOSE UP, eyeballs to the TV just in case you are attending. ~ IZA-LOVEY

  17. Oh, no! Bedbugs are one of the things that scare the head peep, so she totally understands how that pretty much does you in. We hope you can chase them back out to wherever they come from in a hurry.

  18. OH boy Spitty, one of my human bros lives in an apartment and that happened in his building. He was devastated when they made it to his place. But he (and everyone else!!) notified the owners and that was taken care of, but what a WOE just as you said, and of the First Order, just as you truthfully without exaggeration, stated.
Check the tunnel though before you come over. xxooxxo

  21. TW is totally freaked out by bedbugs cos NYC is full of them. They’re riding the subways and everything. She practically makes Pop strip in the hall before he comes in. She even axed an exterminator in our building if he had seen any here but he said not a one. Now she’s gonna worry even more. Even thought they don’t like hairy or furry bodies, she said I can’t come to visit you for the next couple of MONTHS and you can’t come here! How’s that for ruining my love life. *sulk* I hope your health and everything resolve itself soon.

  22. Here's hoping all your human and cat woes are resolved quickly! When things all happen at once, it can get overwhelming...but your internet pals are still here!

  23. Oh, Spitty!!! We're so sorry about all that fun-stuff. Very glad there's nothing serious in terms of health problems, but you guys are getting a quadruple whammy of yucky stuff. The bed bug thing is VERY freaky!!! Good luck... we're sending some kick-butt purrs.

  27. We were gonna say something like 'when it rains......" but that would be a good thing there. So we are just gonna say "Hang in there, baby" . All paws and fingers and toes are crossed for you here. Never had bed bugs but imagine they are about as yucky as fleas, which we are very familiar with. Joey and I brought a bunch with us when we were adopted.

  35. As Katie Isabella says, always here for you a Spitty. Even tho' we don't male the rounds enough to comment and visit. I had to learn you, Spitty, have been unwell from a comment you left on Katie's Bloggy. Sending you belated healing purrs.

  36. Dear Spitty, we have had complications here too. Mom has been very spotty about blogging and visiting. We will be here for you once everything is sorted out. Bedbugs (shudder)!! Mouses! Get well soon, all of you!

  37. I have not been the best of commenters lately either. I would totally shudder at the bedbug thing too. Ick

  38. Bed bugs? That is the most pawful thing we have ever heard. Hope they did not get on your cat tree, Spitty. We really pray that you have been able to get rid of them. Has that terrible heatwave broken yet? It sounds intolerable. Whatever health issues you and Mom Mary have been dealing with we pray will be short-lived. Sending all our love. Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
