Pipe Dream

So the one benefit that actually accrued to me as a result of the Human's "one night stand" with Scotty was this little pipe cleaner toy. Scotty's pawrents had a vast collection of pipe cleaners and invited the Human to help herself to a colorful handful, which she did. This morning she made me my first pipe cleaner toy. It's okay I guess. But I'm not exactly turning somersaults over it or anything. Maybe tomorrow I'll play with it more.
Kitties, I know some of your Humans have made you lots of these. Any advice for my Human?

  1. Sorry, Spitty, we can't help your human. My latest favorite toy is a hair elastic of my Mom's.

  2. Twirl it around a pencil and make a SQUIGGLY!! We loves us a good squiggle. Plus, it'll FREAK your Human out when she steps on it a night. Epic.

  3. My human says that Sparkle did not care what she did with the pipe cleaner - she played with it anyway!

  4. Spitty, They don't do anything for us either. Mom bought a bunch for us last Christmas, but we ignored them. If you get any good ideas of what to do with them, purrlease pass it on. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  5. Our human is thinking of making one for us before they abandoned us, so we think they will put that plan into action soon.

  9. Me love toys from pipe cleaner !
Two ways, mom made for me.
First way , my mom do the circle like yours but smaller. In da size I can WHACK !
Second way, my mom just curl the end ( like little knob )
    How to play ?
She will insert the pipe cleaner through the gap of the door ( me in another side of the door )
Then she will move the pipe cleaner , and I try to catch it ...it's really fun :)

  13. Love you wearing it like a wrist band or ankle bracelet! But I'm not sure that's how you're supposed to play with them.. ;)
I've seen people use their finger to spiral them around then pull them a little bit, they roll sideways that way anyway. Worth a try?

  14. Could always use it to trip the human, a little payback

  15. I have no idea, our diy-prjects are mostly a little special LOL

  16. I usually take those things away from the cats, because Chucky is prone to eat anything that's long and skinny, and he'd have the ring straightened and eaten in a flash!

  17. There are some good ideas here Spitty and I may have to get me some pipe cleaners too!

  18. Ollie loves the spiral. I just wrap it around a pencil or wooden spoon.

  19. Mom made me a pipe cleaner chain when I was little which I enjoyed dragging all around the house but since those days, my pipe cleaner collection sits at the bottom of my toy box. Mom gets them out once in a while and I give her the "are you serious????" look.

  23. No advice from me. My mom doesn't let me play with pipe cleaners because of the wire and little pokey end.

  24. I have never had a pipe cleaner. I feel so deprived!

  25. Some kitties really love those, we personally do not have any!

  26. Oh Wow! My Mommy never does anything special with the pipecleaners, except sometimes, she turns them into a spring thing.
Your Mom is way more creative!!!

  29. TW made Prudence’s human buy her some for me cos Sparkle loved them so much and I won’t give them a sniff. Not. My. Cup. of. Joe.

  30. Spitty, I like playing with pipe cleaners too. But the toy your human made you looks way better than the one the mom made for me. Mine is all twisty and messed up. So don't let your human take any lessons from the mom.

  31. Mum never thought about giving us pipe cleaners ! We read all the comments above, and we have now a lot of ideas ! Purrs

Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
