Okay, Okay: The Giants' dearly beloved third baseman Pablo Sandoval (aka 'Panda') signed a five-year deal with the Boston Red Sox for $100 million. Yes, you read that right, Kitties--$100 million.
GASP! How could your team let Panda go to those Sox?? Now he’ll get to face that juicy Yankee pitching 19 times and who knows what will happen. The good news is Sox fans can’t talk about the Yankees buying championships anymore cos that’s what they’re doing.

I saw an editorial-type cartoon in yesterdays News-Sentinel and it showed that baseball player who makes like a billion dollars a year and a teacher standing at the blackboard coming in at $37,000 a year. It stated something about priorities. Sports figures make insane amounts of money.

Dad just read about this in the newspaper, and Mom thought the Panda was crazypants, but the paper didn't say for how much he signed.
