Sunday Selfie: This Is My Life Now

Once, I was a proud and aloof feline Master of the Human. I doled out affection like a slowly-dripping faucet. Now? Well, now the blandishments of the warm keyboard, the gently petting hand, the nice mat, the sweet nuffings whispered in my shell-pink ear, the little fingerfuls of Gerbers. . . well, you can see for yourselves what I've become.
Look upon me and weep, Kittens. Don't let this happen to you.

  1. Actually, we think you just got smart! And you can always go back, if you want. We felines have that privilege.

  2. Not too bad if that is the case.

  3. Now now Spitty - we know that this is not what you've become really because your Human can't be relied upon to provide those kinds of services on demand, can she? It seems to me that you've simply learned to soak up the attention when she bothers to provide it and revert to your former aloofness when she doesn't. That's a clever and sophisticated response to your environment - well done!

  8. Time and age are mellowing you (and the human), Spitty, but you are still the King - majestic as ever.

Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
