So, how come no one has made giant paintings of me? Today the Human went to an exhibit of early Rubens paintings, and she took a picture of one (even though the lighting was a little harsh and glary), because Cats! And then she came home and took a picture of Yours Truly.
Honestly, I don't see that much difference.

ReplyDeleteBut that to one side, I think the answer to your question is that no one has the confidence to imagine that they could capture you in paint. As you have remarked in the past, the Human's photography skills are not all that strong, but even so, her photo of you puts that painting in the shade well and truly.
And look at that poor chap in the painting. You can almost hear him moaning: "Why? Why can't I find a cat as gorgeous as King Spitty but instead, always end up with these wretched lions around me?" You've gotta feel for him, haven't you? I hope gazing upon his despair caused the Human to reflect on how very very fortunate she is to have the opportunity to work for you.

Hmmm, well, we would say that if we were THAT BIG compared to Beins, they would feed us better. And THEY would ask to share the heated watery bed that the other way around. Oh, and the deck door would open by paw-touch rather than weerd locks...
