Spittilocks & the Two Bears

The Human wanders through the streets with her phone, looking for things she can post on my blog. Understandably, I am less than thrilled about this.

The bear on the left is City Bear. He has lived the hard-knock life on San Francisco's mean streets and emerged battered and begrimed, but unbroken. He may be reduced to panhandling under a streetlamp, but he retains his dignity and independence.

Suburban Bear, on the other hand, is pristine and unmarked, slumped on a bench outside a fancy little Sausalito shop, waiting for his Human to stuff him inside his little wagon and drag him through the streets. Soooo humiliating!

  4. Suburban Bear has found a good bench to while away his time. City Bear on the other hand looks as if he has had too many niptinis. Do bears drink niptini?

  7. Poor City Bear. Maybe we should start a GoFundMe to help him out.

  8. those poor bears need a home! Mum already has a big bear so no room here.

Mum liked the Ford v Ferrari, she didn't see it in the theaters, just at home with a DVD.

  9. Well, bears do need to be outside. We mean, sometimes TBT says "well do bears (poop) in the woods? As opposed to us kitties. Who ever saw a litterbox in the woods? And who would clean it? The bears?

  11. I'm voting we give the Human a pass on stealing time on your blog today Spitty - in acknowledgement of the tremendous effort she's put in this month helping you to blog virtually every day. Sound reasonable?

  13. Life on the street for a bear isn’t all that bad, but it does suck for a cat. Mom put two bears on the two-person rocker on our front porch when people started doing it at the start of the pandemic. They are beginning to look a little grimy, but she’s leaving them until this whole mess is behind us. Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
