A Modest Proposal

So Human, I've been thinking. I have come to see our building's hallway, stairs and little lobby as natural extensions of our apartment.

I would like to negotiate a new arrangement. First, a once-a-day excursion seems awfully restrictive. I propose three: One late morning, one mid-afternoon, and one before bedtime.

Also, it's a little humiliating to have you babysitting me out there. Just leave the front door open, and I'll come in when I am good and ready.

    Sounds like a good deal to me! Although I'm not sure my human would agree to it. Don't know about yours.

    Oooh - I thought you were going to propose that you be offered the opportunity to venture outside the building. Think big, Spitty! (But be prepared to be told that you'd need to don a leash and harness if you really want to take your Human for a walk around the neighbourhood!)

    WOW - three excursions a day? Good luck with the negotiations Spitty. I have to be escorted on my TWO outside walks a day. Mom or Dad or both are right there always - I can't shake them even though I've tried. Like SHADOWS.

    We wish you good luck about having the apartment door left open. TBT said he once had cats in an apartment and having the door left open involved a "snowball's chance in hell" whatever that means. But we gather the idea was "no".

    I've long thought what's outside our unit is a part of my domain. TW says there are huge dogs on our floor and we're right near the elevator so I can wipe going out there offa my wish list.
