Nope, Not Yet. Too Soon.

No Human, I will NOT meet your gaze. You are not worthy.
You can walk up here and talk just as nice as you want, but you're talkin' to the lamp because Spitty's not listenin.'
Mmmmm, what a nice view there is out this window.
La la la, la la la, la la la.
Try again tomorrow.
We'll see then.

Infidelity

Hi, Kitties! Miss me? I sure missed all of you!
But bear with me here, for I have things to tell you that Are.Not.Pretty.

Who's THIS?
Well, as you could perhaps read if you biggified the picture, this is JAINA, the resident kitteh with whom my Human had a weekend fling during her sojourn in the Valley.
They talked! They cuddled! They looked longingly into each other's eyes!

But, Kitties, I tell you: It gets even WORSE!
This is Tripp the Dog. Shameless Woofie HellHound is more like it. Just LOOK at him with his little stub-for-a-tail and his soft, droopy ears! He bounded right up to the Human, playfully tilting his irresistible little head, as if to say, "Where have you been all my life?"

Well, I can say no more. I am sure you all can see for yourselves how cruelly I have been betrayed.

* * * * *

Hope you all had a glorious Fourth! I don't think these fireworks look very Safe or Sane, do you?
But the Human swears they were.

Good News/Bad News

On the Good News side, my Human's on a roll! First my cozy quilt and now a Cube! I love my Cube because it has openings on two sides AND the top, so it can't eat me up like a regular box might. It's so comfortable! (I didn't even mind the flashy box too much.)

But now for the Bad News: The Human is abandoning me for the long Fourth of July weekend! She will be gone till Tuesday afternoon. Can you even imagine the neglect? I might STARVE
(No, Spitty, you won't "starve"; your nice Aunties from next door will come twice a day to feed you and visit you.) Oh, right, well.
Still, I am showing her the Back of Disrespect!

Hey Kitties! Have a pawsome 4th!

P.S.: I know I'm a day late, but . . . FlippyCat celebrates Canada Day!
P.P.S.:  We'll be back on Wednesday! Don't miss me TOO much!

Fantastic Friday!

Lookie! Lookie! Look what came for me from Ms. Stella!!! I finally convinced the Human to order me one of the legendary Catnip Quilts from Ms. Stella's Person. My quilt has my NAME on it, Kitties! My NAME!

And look! It has birdies!
Wow! I love it! Thanks, Ms. Stella

Look, Kitties: Do you see that the Human covers the "Good Furniture" with these light-green comforters so that they do not become all "violated" by my beautiful black furz? Hah! My furz only improve whatever they land upon!

(Still) Not a Garden Tour #8

On a recent Wednesday, the Human and her friend set out for the geriatric a/k/a "Blue Hair" matinee of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City, which has been made into a musical and may soon be headed to big, bad Broadway. The Human stuffed me into her purse and took me along!

Our first stop was the 7th floor of the Sutter-Stockton garage. I don't care for heights, so I went on down without her.
We cut through Union Square, where a so-so band was playing for free. They were not attracting too much of an audience. I relaxed briefly in the sun.
This guy's tum was yum! Irresistible! Very comfy!
While the Human took yet another photo, I hung out in the treetops.
This lady outside a Geary Street hotel looks like she's been waiting a long time. I tried to make friends but she didn't seem interested.
Look! They put me on the cover of the program! Do you think they'll give me a role in the show?
Well, no starring role, but Spitty scored himself a BOX seat, yes he did!
Afterward, we all went to a restaurant full of people who reminded me of the lady outside the hotel. This lady had mints. Drat--I was hoping for Valerian root.
This guy seemed pretty stiff, not like that great guy at Union Square.
This guy wasn't even a Human at all, stiff or not stiff. To be honest, he creeped me out a little. I didn't stay long.
The Old People matinee got out before the restaurant was even really open so they had to sit in the bar and get sloshed have a tiny ladylike cocktail. I kept an eye on them so they didn't get too out-of-control!

Okay, Kitties, that's our Not-a-Garden-Tour for today. Hope you enjoyed it!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Rutabaga*? That you comin' for me?

*Rutabaga is my most loving, affectionate name for Rupert of the Katnip Lounge, who believes he is my main rival for the affections of The Admiral. Poseur!

Too-Close Tuesday

Hello, Kitties, and welcome to an Up-Close-and-Fursonal-Tour of Spittola's grass munching technique (delicious grass, mmmmmm)!
Frankly, I find these photos a tad embarrassing and, well, intrusive, if you know what I mean, and I know most of you do. The Human has become even more intolerable than usual, pushing that borrowed flashy box into my little face and snapping/snapping/snapping/snapping/snapping and then snapping some more, just as fast as her fingers can push that button.
Sigh.
