The Big Event

This is the one straight stretch of the nauseatingly windy (that's long-i windy) road that leads
to the lovely little town of Mendocino, where yesterday
my Beloved Aunties became genuine, official Married People with fancy rings
and a fancy cake and everything. And afterwards, right across the road . . .
several actual whales (this wasn't really one of them, though) came
to disport themselves throughout the reception!
While the newly-married pair were the main attraction,
they didn't mind sharing the stage with their uninvited--
but most welcome--cetacean guests!

Dreamland

Hello, Kitties! The Human is getting ready to abandon me tomorrow to drive up to Mendocino, a pretty little town on the northern California coast.
It's kind of far for a day trip, especially on a school day, but she is happy to do it as the trip is to attend the wedding of my beloved Aunties who take care of me when the Human 'bandons me for anything more than a day.
The Aunties have been life partners for more than 20 years, but it is only now that they have been allowed to celebrate their union by getting married. They are happy and excited, the Human is happy and excited, and their family and friends are coming from near and far to witness their vows and make merry afterwards!
To tell you the truth, I think it would be swell if Onyx, their sweet little girlcat, and Yours Truly could attend also, but it's kind of far and I suppose we might misbehave.
We'll be back Tuesday with a repurrt on the proceedings.

What.A.Mess.

Okay, the brush and the Magic Fishie can stay. But the rest of the clutter needs to disappear, Human--and, No, you can hold the sarcasm: I do not mean me!

Sweet Friend

Prancer Pie, Princess, Precious and, eventually, Princeton
were some of our first friends when we started my blog
back in 2010. I am sure Princess was there at the Bridge to welcome
Prancer Pie with open arms. We will miss you, Prancer Pie, but
rest easy, Friend: We will all look out for your family till you meet again.
