Spitty and the Terrible, Horrible,
No Good, Barftacular Very Bad Day

Hello Kitties, especially all my longer-furred Brethren and Sistren:
Let me tell you about yesterday. When the Human came home from work, she noticed I had disdained most of my breakfast (while this used to be commonplace, since The Great Outrage of August, 2012, I have grown considerably fonder of my foods).
She decided I'd not had a treat in a while, so she cracked open a jar of the Good Stuff: Gerber's Chick-hen. In case you're wondering, Spitty chowed down, consuming about 80% of that jar in short order, and then I went and gobbled up some of my crunchies.
But about 30 minutes later, I began to rue my gluttony.
I meowed the legendary Bomiting Meows of My People, and up it all came!
It went everywhere! I managed four different spots on two different rugs.
The Human was huffin' and puffin' and scurryin' to keep up,
following me with spray bottles and a whole roll of paper towels.
She noticed as she went about the drudgery that there was no large, tell-tale
fur torpedo to be found amongst the various bomits she cleaned up.

Until today, my furiends, until today:
All together now:

Whoomp there it is
Whoomp there it is

  1. I've got one of those waitin' to come up. And my human knows it, which is making it very hard for me to find an inopportune moment to get rid of it.

  2. LOL sneaky at your sea. Hate when they follow us around

  3. That's a good one, Spitty! Always best to do that when their back is turned if possible. Especially if you can on a light-colored rug. Paws up on a job well done!

  4. I'll bet it's that white fur you ate. It was coming back out one way or the other....

  5. That's gross. It's also a familiar sight around here. Why the carpet-why not the tile floor!
    =)

  6. We've had things like that around here too. Hope you feel all better Spitty.

  7. Barftacular, indeed!

Hope everything is coming up roses now, Spitster. XOXO

  8. Spitty, I did the same thing yesterday! The lady with the yellow hair is still trying to clean up the spots. :)

  9. We love the jovial way in which you impart your story of this great vomit fest, being very fond of this particular style and method as well. Way to keep the human on her toes. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  11. We just love the fact that there is a bright orange splat stain across the fabric, centred on the delightfully rolled fur cigar. It is wonderfully positioned. Well done Spitty-o!

  12. Kudos Bro!!! I am in awe! The artistic merit in that last pic is Emin standard! Spectacular!

Now, regarding your fundamentals becoming less than noir. Hmmmm! I would suggest that next time your human goes to the store she should bring back Recital Preference 1.07 Florence black. That should do the trick. Unless you fancy an auburn rinse, then 6.66 Babylon will do nicely, except you'll probably end up looking like a Japanese Macaque!

Or on the other paw, a couple of brewskis and some pork scratchings down the pub might be all you need! ;)

  13. Ah yes, as the slave to two long haired darlings, I'm familiar with that particular song.. Star sings it quite loudly.. Leo is more of a silent singer, but even with more fur, rarely has that particular issue. Odd.

Star says: Four spots! Awesome work! I like to do sneak spots where daddy is sure to be walking in his socks, hee hee!
I hope you're feeling better now that you've rid yourself of that hairball. Perhaps we can get together for midnight snackies. and snuggles! purrrrr

  14. Well done, Spitty. Above and beyond! Two carpets are better than one.

  15. Oh good job Spitty. We do that all the time and the Person does the same, following us all around and cleaning it all up. Glad that finally came up. Bet you feel better. Take care.

  16. Oh Spittola! You have taken a leaf from my volume. Not book, but volume. I WROTE that book/volume. I hork more than anykitty on the earf.

That may have been the result of eating the furs fro Truffle and Brûlée.

I will come over and you may clean my ears. XXOOXX

  17. Good one Spitty! I am envious because I hold on to my fur and can't manage a fur ball. Eric was very good at it though. He used to leave them on the carpet on the way to the bathroom ready for unsuspecting bare toesies in the middle of the night.

  18. Now that belly might feel so much better Spitty!

  19. Oh yeah.... our human is on paper towel and spray bottle patrol 24/7 at our house. Why do they have to ruin everything by following us around? It's so much better when they unexpectedly step into a puddle of our gifts to them...

  20. Sometimes my food-lift runs upwards too. Most if I had plush-guys and their gibs for dessert. The worst thing (except the waste of food and toys made in China)is that they follow me with tissues&rags at every turn.
    Please feel better soon.

  22. So sorry you had the barfies my furry friend. Those are miserable days. But hopefully it's all over and you can go back to enjoying a little gluttony.

  24. *ahem*koff, koff*...*embarrassed ears*...I dumped mine a few days ago on the guest bedspread...they washed it and it started to come apart...finally...it is ancient! Getting rid of the furrs in our tummies is impawtant...and who needs that icky hairball crappy stuff they try to get me to 'lap' off their fingers...AS IF!!!

  25. Oh Spitty, you are so silly to gobble up so much food! HOope your tummy is all settled now! Me-Ommmmmm

  26. OMC that is one mighty hair ball! You must feel so much better now. But it's too bad you had to hork up the yummy food! I hope you got some more later :-)

  27. Well....

If you're gonna do somethin', you may as well do it well.

  29. We have always admired your lovely, spotless, tastefully decorated, beige filled home; and wondered how it was seemingly free of puke stains. It sounds like you have a very diligent and speedy clean-up crew. Our mom has just given up and decorated in a kitty puke color scheme.

  30. If only humans would have yak-color rugs and carpets, this activity would never be a problem.

(And you can eat that much Gerbers? I'm good for about 2 teaspoons!)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Great work Spitty! Your mom must be so proud, MOL!

Our mom says she thinks we use the car-pet for bomiting 'cuz it gives us better traction. Whadda ya think?

  32. Dood, next time, get up as high as you can before letting that big boy fly. Then your barf becomes *art!*

  33. HAH! When I start gurgling to frow up, TW follows me around with a paper making it impossible to hit one out of the park. Good going on hitting 2 rugs. Yankees used to play Whoomp There It Is whenever someone hit a HR. Of course, that was years ago at the old Stadium.

  34. I knew you couldn't left her without it hidden somewhere!

  35. King Spitty, it would be my great honor if you would consider leaving your fiefdom for a day to visit me and wash my delicately fluffy earsies.

  37. Spitty, must be something about long haired black cats...Jenna goes through this routine, too! There is nothing tougher to clean from a carpet than digested cat food :(

  38. Oohh with that goopy brown stuff that is nearly impossible to get out too. Well done my man. -Shaggy
