A Visit from the Intruder

So the Intruder (see sidebar) is here for a few days and yesterday we all went shopping in Half Moon Bay, a sleepy little town about 25 miles south of here. We took a nice picture in the little parklet, and a good time was had by all, especially a delicious dinner at Pasta Moon. Mmmmmmm.

Kitties, you have no idea how gracious your King is being to the Intruder this time around. I allow him to brush me, and even to pet me a little bit--as long as the Human is around, that is. Once she has gone to work, all bets are off. The Intruder reported to the Human that I hissed at him twice today. I beg to differ, however: It was three four times! He just wasn't paying attention for that last one two.

  2. Well Spitty, you DO need to let him know it is your domain, especially when your Mom is gone :)

  3. Spitty, you have to keep intruders on their toes, right? Okay, well, if he were here, I'd totally make friends with him and probably even sleep with him.

  4. Are you going soft in your old age, Spitty ? You let him brush you ? We're shocked.

  5. Bi-polar behavior is expected, nay, ENCOURAGED, with introoders.

  6. YOU went shopping in Half Moon Bay, Spitty? Or did you just command them to go so you could have a bit of a break to regroup?

  11. Spittola, you showed who was Ruler and that was only as it should be. Concats on being a good Host however. Admiral said she loved your being UTB with her when she used her opportunity to be there with you. She is allotted a few times every so often and you are absolutely always the one she comes to.

  12. Spitty, how about this...the intruder person seems to travel a lot and go to amazing places and meets interesting people! Perhaps you should play nice, and maybe he'll take you along on some new adventure, where your kingliness will be broadcast in person! Just an idea...

  13. You have to keep those introoders in check and hissing is the best way to do it.

  16. You are the host with the most, Spitty. I don't know that I could be so welcoming as to let an intruder even touch me, let alone brush me!

  17. Spitty, why would you do that? I mean, what if he had a treat or a fishie or something and then just changed his mind about sharing when you hissed? I guess you'll never know now. :-(

  18. Well you have to keep them on their toes I always say. They are rather flat footed and do not walk correctly like we do

  19. Spitty, you must protect your space from intruders. I love the photo of you near the Christmas tree.

  20. Spitty, Did you display your purrfectly groomed meat hooks when you hissed at him? It adds a little extra punch to the warnings. Then they really pay attention to your hisses then.

Hissing at intruders is mandatory! Especially iif our human is NOT around. After all, they might just try to steal the silverware...

  22. That intruder actually sounds okay, Spitty. But it's best to keep him on his best behavior, right? :)

  23. That's the way to do it, Spitty. Make him think you kinda like him and then when he relaxes, let him have it! :)

  24. Our mommy loves Half Moon Bay. She used to go with her parents and then just her stepmom after her dad died. Her favorite restaurant is Mezzaluna (appropriate name). If your Mom has never tried it, she should. The tree is so lovely. It is impawtant to keep your hissing in good form by practicing with intruders! 25. That is a photo for next year’s Christmas card, Spitty. Last night I got to meet the neighbor’s woofie. I hissed and my fur fluffed out. I wanted to go into the hall to take care of her but TW wouldn’t let me so I hissed a few more times.

Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
