An Ode to the Human

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I love you to pet me
Until I am through

Tulips are yellow

Tree trunks are brown
I'll bite you and scratch you
Till you take your hand down

  1. Bravo! A true poet of the protest movement. Or perhaps a war poet ? Definitely not a romantic.

  2. Another one of your stupendous poetic pieces, Spitty. Have you started looking for a publisher? Poetry isn't big on the best seller lists, but even so, I think it would be worthwhile gathering your masterpieces together in one elegant volume for the sake of posterity.

Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
