Tucked-Away Tuesday

Here I was, all tucked away quietly in the bottom of my little blue cat tree, when in waltzes the Human singing, "Oh, Spiiiiiiitttty, where are you?" Well, honestly, what am I supposed to say to *that*? She has eyes and all. So I just kept snoozing as she strolled from room to room, searching in all the usual places. Her voice took on a slightly more frantic edge with each passing minute, but Come on!--she's a Human and aren't they supposed to be the ones with the Big Brains and all? She found me eventually.
Oh, and could that be a claw?

  1. I love how desperate TW gets when she can’t find me. For some reason, she always thinks I got out of the condo even if the door hasn’t been opened for hours. BTW, I see you’re not hard on your trees either. That looks practically new.

  2. Good to keep the human guessing.

  3. We hope she didn't bother you once she found you, Spitty. But something tells us your nap did get interrupted.

  4. My human has done the same thing! She gets frantic if she doesn't know where one of us is at all times when she is home. Like any of us are going anywhere. Well, I go places... but it's generally with HER!

  5. Yeah Beins are dense (mentally AND physically). BUT, oh that tree color would look SO purrfect with ME on it. Shall I return yer evening visit here with one of my own to YOU? ~ IZA-LAMBIE

  6. I accept yer invitation, Most Purrfect Dearest One Of All Times And Places! I am on my way! And (if I can hold on to it while teleporting) I am carrying a small opened can of salmon so we can offer each other small delectable pawfuls of fancy foods while we whisper sweet nothings in each others ears.. ~ IZA-LOVEY

  7. Magnify that by 14 with a dose of brain fog and we have that stoopidity all the time here! What do they do with those over sized brains , eh ?

  8. Gotta keep 'em guessing, right Spitty? How nice of you to help your human keep her mind sharp. Like that claw. ;)

  9. You Human disappears on Monday morning without a second thought, but the moment she steps inside the joint, she expects you to come running? Tell her she's dreaming. No one can treat Spitty like that and get away with it.

  10. Spitty, I can whisper even better ways to disappear that will make her certain you got out and are wandering the mean streets....with a jar of pencils and tin cup. I have scared the hair off mom's head on occasion. So did Admiral.

  11. Hee hee, you sure made her look, didn't you? Good work!
Is that, perhaps, a claw sheath? We find them occasionally, they look just like a claw, but hollow.

  12. Humans know that cats have a cloaking device that renders them invisible. We are on to you!

  13. If by chance we find a new and different place to rest, our mom will get all wigged out trying to find us too. (As if there were any possibility we could get the front door open [with that stoopy round doorknob] and go out for a stroll!)

  15. Our humans are so panicky, it's pathetic. They don't see us for a second and they go into panic mode.

Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
