                   Post-School Chatting with the Human

Why yes, I am fascinated by what you're telling me . Please go on . . .
Oh. Apparently I wasn't nearly as interested as I thought. You can stop now.
But thanks for the nice petting.

  1. Sometimes I have to pretend to be interested in what humans are talking about too! It is tiring.

  2. The way I see it, Spitty, the Human should feel an obligation to put together an interesting story to tell you when she comes home from the Education Factory. It's not sufficient that she simply whinges and whines about the kids, other staff, the parents, the principal, the traffic and the lousy pay. Blah blah blah - same ole', same ole'. No. If she feels the need to debrief, then the onus on her is to put the facts and figures together to create drama, conflict, suspense and, ultimately, resolution. Do you think you could encourage her to apply herself to the task?

  6. Mum doesn't go far to have much to tell me about her day. So we just chill together and I get my pets. Just finished a nice long belleh rubbing.

  7. Bwahaha. That's messed up, Spitty. But funny, too.

Thank you and your human for your kind and thoughtful condolences about our sweet angel Zoe's passing. We are so grateful for you both. Love and hugs.

  8. Yes we can plainly see that you are fascinated by the one-sided conversation with your human. Doesn't she know that when you are on the circle bedspread you are only interested in the petting and not in the chatting???????

  9. I miss my special after work pettings...with Kozmo, Jo Jo and Cinnamon here, Mommy has too much to do, to cuddle and snuggle with me. I can't wait for them to go home!

  10. Spitty, this post reminds me of the old 'Peanuts' TV specials, where the adults are heard as "whaa whaa whaa"

  11. Seems like the talking was all one way. As it should be.

Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
