Sunday Selfie: Peaceable Kingdom

I am resting now, after a long and blissful time of making biscuits on the Human before she even was completely awake. When she did struggle out of her deep slumber, she was afraid to move even, lest I stop this new and charming behavior. I just don't know what's come over me lately: Laps, stalking, biscuits.

Will I soon completely lose my gritty, urban feral edge, and become a soppy boy?

Where will it all end?

  1. It's the prerogative of every Feline to change their mind. About anything. You're simply exercising yours.

  2. Nice, Spitty! You are free to be whatever you want to be, on any given day. And then, you are free to change your mind. MOL.

  3. Oh no! If this keeps up, you may wind up becoming a therapy cat like me! MOL

  5. Ooooh - these changes in your behaviour are intriguing. I'm thinking that you're trialling a new Human-management system: treat her real nice and see if THAT causes her to lift her game. It's gotta be worth a try, hasn't it? I hope it works out.

  7. You're turning into me - a biscuit-makin sweetie. Better draw some blood quick if ya wanna maintain any street cred.

  10. That is a tough question, which we will need to ponder. Some of us do lose our edge as we age, but that can't possibly be the problem. Probably just the winter doldrums. 11. Spitty, throw in a bitey once in awhile, then no one will worry about you getting soft.

  12. As we're sure you well know, dear Spitty, there are biscuits and then there are MANbiscuits, and we're certain you were all over those MANbiscuits. No soppy biscuits for you!

  16. My goodness Spitty - purrhaps you are developing a dual purrrsonality.....one aloof and independent guy and the other a clingy snugglebug? Could it be? Time will tell!

  17. Man cat ... say no more. Playing tuff, but soppy in reality.

  18. Spitty, it is winter and incumbent on a feline, such as you and I, to do these things for our peeps to help them through the long hours. They may think you have succumbed to humanity but in reality nature is just a springtime, and a few mice, away. Dude, keep up the good work, and your human will reward you even more....

  20. We think the werd yer lookin for is "mellowing", Spitty. Happens to all of us eventually. And BTW, I (Ayla) am a champion biscuiter. When TBT lays on his tummy in bed, I get on his back and knead him thoroughly! He LOVES it; until my claws accidently come out...

Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
