No way: the words "Spitty" and "fail" NEVER occur in the same sentence. You did not fail as the Neighbourhood Watch Cat: you were faithfully and diligently watching that stick and the new holes that were appearing in the curtains.

I'd say you're doing a better job of "leaving your mark" on those curtains than you are at making sure no introoooooders are about!
