Thank You, Simba!

My Sweet Furiends Simba and Audrey gave me this very nice Awardie a couple days ago. I am touched to the core of my flinty little heart!

Here's what the award means (apologies to Simba and Audrey for a bit of a lot of plagiarism here!)

"Liebster"  means favorite or beloved in German, and this award helps to draw attention to blogs that aren't too well known.

Here are the rules for this award:
Upon receipt of the award, one is to:
1) Link back to the blogger who gave it
2) Paste the award on the blog
3) Choose 5 blogs to pass this award to (they must have fewer than 200 followers)
4) Let the recipients know about their nomination by leaving a comment on their blogs.

I know lots of Kittehs have received this awardie already, but here goes! Here are the five blogs I am passing the award on to:
1.  http://troublintimes.blogspot.com/    Sassy and Callie are such funny kitties! I lubz them
2.  http://emmaandbuster.blogspot.com/  Emma and her Bro are the best!
3.  http://kitcaboodles.blogspot.com/  Sookie and Mr.
Darcy are soooooooo beautiful, and such fun to read about!
4.  http://luxthecat.blogspot.com/  Lux is just barely out of Babyhood and he is the sweetest boy ever!
5.  http://whisppy.blogspot.com/  I would LOVE the kitties (etc.) at Whisspy even if they had not sent me that wonderful stuff! I love to read their always-entertaining posts!

Thanks again, Simba and Audrey! You're the best!

I'm hoping to Dream In the New Year!

Post-Krissymouse Light Show!

The Human and her friend went out to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy at the fancy-dancy mall (an oxymoron?) downtown Wednesday night, and as they were walking to a restaurant after the movie, they came upon a bunch of people lying flat on their backs under the big dome that used to be part of the Emporium before they tore everything down and made the stupid fancy-dancy mall, but I digress.
Now, this *is* San Francisco, so people often behave in wacky ways, but even so it seemed....well, odd. So the Human's friend looked up and voila!
Looky, looky:

Floof on Furzday

Why, hello Furiends! As you can see, I have had enough of festivity and frivolity. Today I am snoozing, gearing up for one last blast of holiday cheer on Caturday when the Human has her annual New Year's Eve pawty.
Now, this is a tiny pawty by official NYE-Pawty Standards (ten total humans), but still, it is nine Humans more than I am entirely comfortable with. Last year, I was quite social (for me), and I will try to be a Good Boy again. No guarantees though. I still might decide that UTB is a wonderfully good place to welcome the New Year.
BTW: The tail? The gently closed eyes? The semi-curled paws? All very high on the Adorability Index, wouldn't you say?

Dietary Roughage

During this festive holiday season, with all the rich and tasty noms, a Boy has to remember to eat his leafy greens every day!
But wait--isn't it the Human having all those treats? Well, heck--step right up and nom a few leaves with me, Human!

P.S. This is a China Doll plant, not Nip. If it were Nip, I might not offer to share.

Oh, All Right

Yes, I guess I was sort of happy to see the Human yesterday after my two-day abandonment. The petting felt sooooooo nice.
Oops! Did I say that out loud?

Krissymouse Past

Well, if *I* couldn't be there, at least Nigel got to hang with the Humans.
Oh wait--right, I would not have enjoyed that at all!

This sky was beautiful over the ocean before Krissymouse dinner, though the Human says it seemed a little too much like Hawaii and a lot too little like Krissymouse!

The Human says the above photos speak for themselves. Too many of these items disappeared down the Human's maw.

Homeward bound.
Bye-Bye, Krissymouse! See you next year!

Tom & Jerry's Tree

On a street very near the Human's school live Tom and Jerry, a gay couple who for the past 20+ years have brought true Christmas Spirit to the neighborhood.
The tree is living, a 65-foot Norfolk Island Pine, which they purchased as a house plant in 1973. Every night between December 11th and 24th, Santa Himself visits for about three hours, distributing candy canes and listening to the wishes of children and grown-ups alike. Music plays, carolers sing, toys whirl and spin, and much festivity and frivolity is shared.
It is a wonderful San Francisco tradition!

Since the Human's cheapo  inexpensive camera does not take good pictures at night, here are some daytime ones to show detail:

This is mostly to show scale--you can see the girl sitting on the bench (circled) looks pretty small!

The tree has a nice big fat star (which obviously looks more impressive at night!)

The Human loves these person-sized dolls suspended near the big stockings

Yeah, these stockings

The spinning ferris-wheel thingies are in front of a nice big stack of presents!

There's only one flaw. Have you spotted it?
Yes, I thought you would!
Where's the kitty???

Meowy Krissymouse, Efurrybuddy!
See you Monday!
