Smug Sunday Selfie
Good morning, Kitties. Here I am, ensconced, smug & snug, in the comfortable embrace of my newly-refavored tree, as I ponder the wound I inflicted yesterday upon the Human. I wonder, had I aimed more carefully, could I have slashed two fingers instead of just the one? If I'd been more conscientious about my daily sharpening schedule, could I have penetrated a bit deeper? Should I have offered to lick up the drippy bloods?
Well, nevermind. I did the best I could on the spur of the moment, and there's always next time.
Never never scratch your human they are the ones that feed you! However, it is true that they sometimes need to be disciplined.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you could manage a minimum of two fingers next time, probably more if you put your mind to it.
ReplyDeleteSpitty, I KNOW you can do better in the blood letting stakes, buddy! I would be ashamed to admit to such a paltry incision!
ReplyDeleteMy advice Spitty is to be ever-ready to strike, but having struck, don't invest time in close analysis. That could impair your style. Fast, spontaneous and instinctive is always gonna be best. I mean, if you don't know in advance exactly when or where you're gonna strike, how on earth can you human be expected to anticipate your moves and defend herself. I say - congratulate yourself on drawing blood and move on, smug to the max.

Oh we wish you would reconsider. Give your human some kindness, she deserves it.

It is good to reflect on your actions for self-improvement!
ReplyDeleteEggsactly, there's always next time.
ReplyDeletePractice makes purrrrfect, Spitty. :)
ReplyDeleteVery Halloweenish :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa - You are going to have to work harder at practicing those skills.
ReplyDeleteTime will sharpen your instincts... and claws.
ReplyDeleteWe have oftened wondered about the Beins blood (and fleash). HE says his blood is acidic and his flesh is poisonous. We are beginning ta wonder, though...
ReplyDeleteYes indeed - and if there were a bitey too then that's some little puncture holes to add to the decoration.
ReplyDeleteOh Dearesy, Lovliest, Handsomariest Mancat - I will be right over to join you on yer platform! An if annyone laffs that we cant both fit on there, well, we BOTH have sharp claws... ~ Yer Allus Devoted Lovey-Iza
ReplyDeleteI will go annywhere, annytime, anny ,um, whatever, fer YOU!
Do you have one of those, um, "take a number" thingies there at the tree?
ReplyDeleteThose are some deep kitty thoughts Spitty! Must be tie to close your eyes and have a nap.

It is only good manners to lap up the drippy bloods if you are the inflictor of the wound. Mau is so happy and excited that you attended the S'moresapalooza yesterday. He and lots of your other friends at Scouts really miss you. And all of us truly appreciate you hopping along with us. Take good care of Mom Mary. She's the only mom you've got. ReplyDeleteSpitty, you're such an adorable kitty! But you ought to be careful, if you keep drawing bloods, you might lose the tips of your beloved claws! Some kitties around here are about to lose theirs and they haven't been nearly so savage, MOL
ReplyDeleteYou do look sweet up in that tree! And we've enjoyed the wonderful action shots in the last few posts! Forgive us for not commenting as much, aside from blogger problems, we've been both a little busy and a little lazy, bad human!
Practice makes purrfect, right, Spitty?
ReplyDeleteP.S. - call us softies, but we hope your human's wound is healing, and does not hurt too much.
You're right, Spitty, there's always tomorrow :D Pawkisses :) <3
