E-Z Bake Sunday

I like my circle beddy on this chair for easy table access.
Can you see how adorably comfortabuls I am today?
Sometimes it migrates to the floor, which is okay too.
I am much more neatly asleep in this picture. with my
Yeoww Nippy Rainbow close at paw.

And the bake part? Well, it was very cold today
and my beddy is toasty warm!

N.B.: I believe I may have given a false impression yesterday regarding my putative "Lap Sitting" behavior. Let me clarify: Occasionally I am picked up against my will and plonked unceremoniously into the Human's lap, with my back legs and rump resting on her (very ample) thighs. If she pets/brushes me, I may consent to remain briefly, as long as I can place my sweet little paws on the desk for quick-getaway purposes.
So what happened was, she decided to snap a picture to mislead my furiends and suggest that I am a willing participant in Lap Time. And really, it was a cunning little photo, what with my earsies looking so cute.

  2. Circle Spitty is the cutest!

Star says: Spitty! Your explaination of the lap sitting thing hit very close to home for me! Even though I lurv my daddy to death, I do NOT like being picked up, and he knows it. But every once in a while he picks me up against my will and pets and scritches me, now, while I may occasionally purr and enjoy the pets, I still want DOWN when I want down, which is immediately!
I sympathize, darling Spitty, and will be over to share some chicken with you as we lament the indignities our people visit upon us.

  3. Ah-ha, Spitty, that's right - you are totally NOT a lap cat, ever. Yep.

  4. That is one cosy toasty little beddy right now, and just as well as it is chilly willy - here we have a nasty breeze too.
And that is a good explanation of the 'lap' photo we are majorly relieved you haven't changed your invisible black panther spots and become a lap lubber. There is nothing wrong with a quick perch and scritch provide exit routes are available.
May I recommend the 'kitten mitten' ? Wrap yourself around a human hand and get the tickles from it but the moment it feels uncomfortable all four paws' claws can ping into a tender palm, forearm, finger etc and there's enough traction for an explosive getaway.

  5. Oh Spitty, we are so glad to hear about the lap news. We are just glad to hear you haven't gone soft on us. And that picture of your cute ears is the best. Take care.

  11. there is truly no end to teh devilish and cunning ploys used by humans to ensare us in their hideous camera-ma-phones. how i hates them. it's especially hard for those of us wif born wif an Incurably Adorable Condition. sometimes teh only course of actshun is a curled up snooze. good job.

  12. OK, my mom thinks you are so cute all curled up like that. She'd get a bed like that for me but she says I'd need a life raft-size one. I'd say that was mean but it's probably true.

I had to take a look at yesterday's post. Caroline is so delighted!

  19. My furbabies don't like being picked up or held, either. They are very happy to join me in the recliner for some serious snoozing or resting, though :)

  21. Spitty, you sure know how to work a bed.

Your lap-sitting sounds a lot like my "don't try to lift me up and hug me" thing. I will let the lady lift me as long as my rear legs are on the ground. Then I'll allow her to give me some kisses and talk that baby talk for about ten seconds. My "feet on the ground" is like your "paws on the table."

  25. None of us are Lap Cats but Shaggy is a Sit Next To You In The Chair Cat.
It figures that in SF you'd have a rainbow nip toy.

  26. What Katie said! HAH! You DO seem to sleep a lot. Hmmmm. We may have to get you an exercise guru. BTW, if you lay in too many sun puddles, it could bleach your sleek shiny black furs.
