Gather Ye Sun Puddles While Ye May

Here I am OTB enjoying a quick bath. Because my Human invited a bunch of other Humans over here tonight to watch a ball drop somewhere (and what's up with that, anyway?), I will be spending the rest of the evening UTB.

Have a safe-and-sane New Year's Eve, Kitties & Humans!

Sunny Sleepies + My Handsome Toesies

I am having sleepytime in yet another sun puddle, and I am purring for the Admiral, too!

And lookie! My handsome toesies! (The Human wanted to say they were "Beautiful toesies," but I felt that would be a little unMancatly. Secretly, though, I think they are beautiful.)

Here Comes the . . .

. . . Sun! The Rain, Rain has gone away, though it will no doubt "Come again another day."  Meanwhile, I am enjoying the warm rays, however brief their appearance may be.

Purring

Today I am purring for the Dad of Aggie and Wally's Dad, who went to heaven yesterday, and thinking about how much history he saw in his 92 years of life.  Wally the kitty is named after him, and fortunately Wally-the-Kitty was able to meet Wally-the-Human a few times.

I am also purring for the Admiral and hoping she will come back from the v-e-t feeling much better.

Finally, I am purring that the Human will stop doing so many unnecessary things and let me visit all my friends before they forget who I am! "Maybe tonight, Spitty," she says. Wait! Wait! I feel my purring shifting into some other, less pleasant, kitteh sound right about . . . . now!

Happy Tail + Air Biscuits

Much as I'd like to say this picture indicates my general indifference to my Human's return, I cannot conceal the tell-tale signs of Joy, Spitty-style.  Hope Everykitty had a Happy Holiday!

Merry Christmas, Kitties!

All right. Sure, it's Christmas Eve. I'll pose with your little angel. Why not?

But first, I think a little bunny-kick to her head might put me more into the Christmas spirit, you know?

Yeah, see? That's a lot better. I feel way more festive now.

I hope Everykitty and Human has a great holiday! Hope Santa's good to you, too! See you next week.

Secret Playtime

A quiet moment with my deep thoughts, my land-octopus, & a weak sun puddle. Ah, Santa, I've been good.

Thank Bast! They're Back!

Well, Kitties, it was a close call, but my Beddies are Back! And just in the nick of time, too.

See? The snuggly bed in my cozy tent is back!

My soft round brown bed with the high sides is back!

My pawsome soft kitteh hammock is back!

And what did I do to celebrate their return? Need you even ask?

Apparently the Human decided that my beddies needed to be vacuumed, de-furred (but why? They smelled good! They smelled like me!) and then thrown willy-nilly into the Big Washer at the Laundromat. Yes, they're back all right, but none of them smell right anymore. They smell like perfume or flowers or some other dumb stink the Humans think is pleasant.

You know, I kind of wish she'd go back to work already. Then she would not have time to do all this stupid stuff.

Thanks, Everykitty, for your advice and consolation during this traumatic time! (Skeeter was a detective? How cool is that!?)

Crime of the Century!

Kitties!  I am disturbed, distressed, distraught and discombobulated!

The snuggly bed that fits inside my cozy tent? GONE!

My favorite soft round brown bed with the high sides? GONE!

My pawsome soft kitteh hammock? GONE!

I can't even pay proper attention to my nip right now!

Krissymouse @ My House

Yes, Kitties, the elves came here and frowed up Krissymouse. And since the Human says, "Spitty, you just won't do anything interesting today" (as if bathing and napping aren't interesting!), I will take you on a tour of all the frou-frou silly stuff cat toys decorations.

But first . . .

(Now, I'm sorry--to me these pictures are interesting! But I digress.)

Apparently I cannot be "trusted" with a real tree, so we have this little curlicued metal one:
And last year a friend gave her these lighted up cherry blossom branches. She's not completely sure they are Krissymouse decorations, but they're red, so up they go!
A few years ago she decided to retire the old and falling-apart nativity scene her mom had had from the time the Human was just a little girl (and you have no idea how long ago that was!). She bought this one in Oregon awhile back--no sales tax!
The Kings are ready for their close up:
Now, these kings really ARE from the Human's childhood, but they've held up pretty well:
This little Santa came from the Human's "Secret Santa" at her work about 10 years ago. Santa had to have surgery this weekend because his toy-sack arm fell off! Can you imagine! Horrors!
This lil "Charlie Brown" tree is in the hallway:
 Alongside this scarily huge reindeer:
And don't forget the living room!
Even the entry way has more crap wonderful seasonal decor:
And the bathroom did not escape!
Finally, what is the point of this? I mean, there's not even a freaking gift inside!
And that's our tour, Kitties. Hope you enjoyed seeing this giant junk collection beautiful stuff!

Merry Krissymouse!

Easy Like Sunday

Hi Kitties! I had a pleasant day watching the Human run around shopping and wrapping and vacuuming (::shudder::) and doing laundry and decorating (such as it is), while I relaxed and napped. Perfect!
She is about to leave for the neighbors' little Krissymouse party so she says we can't visit till she gets home. I've told her she can stay for two hours, and I think that's being pretty generous, don't you?

Bad Hair Day

Yes, Kitties, you know what I'm talkin' about: Those unruly cowlicks and untamable tufts of furz that you just cannot do a thing with.

If you use your imagination, you can almost see what this paw pose is saying to the Human with the flashy box. Just because I lack Human digits does not mean I can't make a rude gesture when the occasion calls for it.

Toy Story

Generally speaking, I disapprove of playing with toys. I feel it diminishes my dignity, and it sends the Human scurrying for the flashy box.

But a few weeks ago, she brought home a beige rattly ball of nippy, yarny goodness (see it right beneath my Mancatly Roman nose? And no, my nose does NOT resemble a button, nor does it have just a hint of sweet upturn). My friends, this ball even has irresistible tentacles, like some kind of land-octopus!

Though it shames me to confess, I lubz my rattly ball. And the Human let slip that it came TWO to a package. I have yet to see its twin.

So, Kitties, "What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in the area!"

The Human and I will send a prize to the first kitteh to correctly identify the source of the quotation  ;-)

Under the Nom Nom Tree

Hello Kitties! I **finally** made my Human pay attention to me this morning. She has been "sooooo busy," and working such "looooong hours," that she has been just "tooooo 'zawsted" to help me post or visit much.  As if!  What matters here are MY blogging needs! Get with the program!

She is coming up on a two-week vacation and not a moment too soon, I say. She'll have time to post, and visit, and brush me, and buy my favorite foods, and play with my fevver toys, and scritch my head just how I like it.

How long is it till Friday again?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Aggie is sooooooo happeez to have her Dad home again (Wally too, but he's hiding).

Me? I haz my dignity, but I am pretty happeez also to have my Human around more than she has been this past week.

Thanks, Everykitty, for all those healing purrs! Life is good.

Sprung!

Well, almost. Aggie & Wally's Dad is coming home tomorrow!

Here, they are expressing their gratitude to the Human for taking such excellent care of them. Good job, Kids!

Serious Bidness

The Human and I will be taking a (hopefully brief) break for the next few days. Aggie & Wally's Dad (& our very dear friend) is in the hospital, and the Human will be busy watching over the Stepkids and stuff till he gets home. We'll be visiting when we can and I'll be keeping limber for future pole-dances. Don't miss me tooooo much.
P.S. A few purrs in his direction couldn't hurt :-)

UPDATE:  The patient is holding his own and may be released by this weekend. The dreaded "lifestyle changes" phrase has been spoken, definitely putting a crimp in his snacking habits. The Human has been smuggling M&Ms, though....hey! They don't have salt!  Aggie and Wally are wondering, "What the hell happened to Dad? Did you do something to him? Human, you are a pathetically poor substitute. Still, you **are** giving us food so we'll play nice for awhile."

I am feeling a little resentful about the Human's frequent absence. Still, I scored a jar of baby food HAMS tonight, so I am somewhat mollified.

Thanks for all your nice purrs. The Human printed them up and delivered them to the patient!

Pole Dancing

Yes, Ladycats near and far, here I am practicing my pole dancing, just for you.  You can tuck those $10 bills right inside my ears or between my teeth anytime you like! Don't all crowd around at once now--Spitty needs his breathing room.
And there's a Special Spot reserved just for The Admiral today as a reward for shedding those post-vet crankypants! Step right up, ma cherie.
Have a great day, Kitties!

A visit with the Little Terrors

Hi Kitties!  Today we are catching up with our friends Wally and Aggie.

Wally has recently been crowned the King of Kaos! His new repertoire includes bathroom-door opening, newspaper destroying, folded-laundry-scattering, and plant-ingesting. Kitties, he's more fun than a barrel of monkeys! Here he's captured in the act; so many plants, so little time!

Little Aggie recently underwent her ladycat surgery, which her Dad claims slowed her down considerably--for about half an hour. Proudly displaying her battle scars for all to see, she has resumed her position as Hellion Sidekick to the King.
