Welcome Wally
On Wednesday, the Human went to the EssPeeCeeAy with her friend while he adopted a friend for little Aggie.
This is Wally. He is cute enough, though the Human didn't manage to take a non-blurry photo (in her defense, kittens move fast).
The EssPeeCeeAy said that Wally was a "cherryblossom" which apparently is their code word for a shy kitten, although he didn't seem shy at all to the Human or her friend.
And c'mon--cherryblossom? Really? For a little Mancat? How humiliating! They should call them "dragonfly" or something at least!

Thankful Thursday
Thanks to Sherkhan for this nice awardie. I am still new enough to blogging that I am not 'zackly sure what to do with it, but I think I pass it along to say thank you to six other kitties. So here goes...
I don't know why she's so ridiculously excited. Aggie and Wally don't even live here (as IF!), for heaven's sake.
Whatever.
- Max of course because he was the first blogger kitteh I ever found and he's been cracking me up for years!
- William because he is my idol and Caroline my true love.
- Katnip Lounge because Scouty and The Baby are such special friends and their mom always makes my Human laugh & laugh.
- Millie because she really IS so darling!
- Ayla & Iza because I love to read 'bout all their adventures (and because I got soooo wasted at Ayla's birthday party, doods).
- And finally, Calle, Halle & Sukki because they are all my best girlfriends.

The Balcony Scene
Ah, this is where the beautiful Juliet (my darling Latte) used to hang out and we'd bat our eyes and sing to each other. Alas, Juliet has crossed the Bridge, but I still find the Deck and the Humans who live over there quite interesting.
Also, as you can see at left, there's a window right into the kitchen of the neighbor-lady. My Human does not know her very well, but to tell you the truth I find her absolutely fascinating. In fact, I kind of stalk her. She doesn't seem to mind, or at least she has not complained.
Well, anyway, I really like to watch her in her kitchen. She does all kinds of interesting things. Also, there are two people who live upstairs from her (Latte's mommies) and I like to watch them too, although I can't see into their windows quite so well. They have a new kitty now named Onyx, and she's real cute, but she's not allowed outside like Latte was so she can't really be my new Juliet.
And that's what's outside my kitchen window.

My hammock!
Oh! Oh! Oh!
About a year ago, the Human disassembled my kitteh hammock, washed the soft fabric part and then put the whole thing away in the back porch. She forgot all about it.
Well, I asked her all the time where it was, but she never seemed to understand what I wanted. Yesterday she came across it and she said, "Oh, Spitty! It's your little hammock! Would you like me to put it together for you?"
Well, duh, Yeah I would!

The Longue-Lounge Thing
This is the New Thing. I guess it's all right. It's kind of a chaise-longue (the Human tells me that this is how it is really spelled although I have always just spelled it "lounge" and no one ever complained) made out of good scratching stuff.
It's kind of too small for me to do any lounging (or, excuse me, longue-ing). Would it have been so hard for her, I ask you, to have purchased me one in my size?

Harry Spotter gave me this award and I'm very grateful. The Human loves Harry's name! Let's see: Nine interesting facts about myself. This shouldn't be hard at all! Everything about me is interesting!
1. My real name is Spitfire but nobody ever calls me that.
2. When I first came to my Human's house, I hid under the bed for two weeks. When she finally caught me, her friend said she looked like she was wearing blood gloves. Heh heh.
3. The Human cannot wrestle me into a cat carrier. I am very proud of that.
4. I lovelovelove to be brushed.
5. I fell in love with the kitty who hung out on the deck next door and sang to me through the kitchen window. She was my Juliet. She was very much an Older Woman though, and the Human told me she walked over a bridge one day. There's a nice new kitty there now, but she's not my Juliet.
6. I disdain all people food, except baby food meats which I get only rarely, dammit.
7. I have never slept on the Human's bed with her in it.
8. Even though I am a mancat, I have never done anything outside my box, thank you very much!
9. I do sort of miss the Human when she's at work. Sort of.
