Days of Our Captivity: Human = 1, Kitty = 5785

Hello Kitties!  Well, we are living in interesting times, are we not? My life is unchanged, of course, as (except for occasional Hallway Adventures) this place has always been my world. The same, however, cannot be said of my Human. She is accustomed to flitting here and there whenever she pleases, and these couple days of confinement have made her fretful and cranky. Honestly, she hasn't even really managed "confinement" as she went to Sonoma yesterday to visit old friends (keeping appropriate social distance!) and tomorrow she is planning to go to her regular Meals on Wheels shift. Maybe all this time on her hands will convince her to help me blog more? Wouldn't it be nice to think so? We hope all our friends are keeping well!

Sunday Selfie(s): Buffalo Gals . . . and Babies!

Since 1890, Golden Gate Park has had bison. The current herd is made up of five adult females. About a week ago, as part of the park's 150th anniversary celebration, five yearlings were added! Right now they are quarantined in the smaller north pasture (behind the far fence) but they'll be integrated with the grownup ladies at the beginning of April.

Since the :30 video lacks an appropriate soundtrack (the Human's skills are so very limited), you can play this as you watch:

I'm sure I don't have to tell you how excited I am
about all of this.

The Human Is Trustworthy?

I know it was a mere month ago that we first wrote about our feral furiends. But the Human is just ridiculously pleased that Sweet Gray Boy has begun to trust her more--this tiny video is from Sunday, February 23.

And lest any LadyCats might be disappointed . . .

The Kitty Horror Picture Show

OMG, Kitties! Can you even imagine what it must be like for the poor kitties that live across the street from this building?  Believe me, if I had that view, I would not be holding open my curtain!

Oh, Give Me a Hoooome

Where (no) buffalos rooooam . . .

I think I'm safe here in my sweet little cube.

But just blocks away in the midst of the Urban Jungle, lurks a small, all-female herd.

Their names are Betsy, Bailey, Bellatrix, Buttercup, Bambi and Brunhilda.

Honestly, though, I don't think they're very pretty.

The Human and her friend visited them Saturday. Thank Cod they didn't invite one home.

P.S.  I am sorry we disappeared for such a long time. *I* have something to say every day, but apparently *she* cannot be persuaded that this is a "priority." Phffffft.
