Thoughtful Thursday

Hello, my Furiends, I am here to talk with you this evening about what a terrible, terrible disappointment Humans can be.
Oh sure, the noms are good, the brushies are delightfully decadent, and I'm not sayin' it's not a good time when they get to waving a wand toy around.
But when it comes to real commitment? Pfft. You might as well rely on a Labradoodle!

See, several months ago when I asked her politely, the Human told me I could join up with the Cat Scouts. 'Sure,' she said expansively. 'Why not? Sounds like fun! Go ahead and join.' And so I did.

And do you know what happened next, Kitties? Can you guess? Yep, I was pretty sure you could.
That's right: Nuffing! No activities, no quests, not even a lousy yoga badge
N-U-F-F-I-N-G.

I am a disgrace to my troop, which I won't even mention by name, and it is All The Human's Fault.

And now next month there's a Real Quest, not just a practice one, and honestly, I don't know what I'm going to have to do to motivate her.

It's keeping me awake nights.  (=^oo^=)

Poor Spitty! At least your human let you join Cat Scouts. Ours wouldn't even commit to THAT!

Thumbs, Spitty that is what is needed as humans are sometimes flaky with this getting stuff done. Hope this is the thing needed to do the Quest.

Oh you look so miserable and down. Missing out on all your scouting activities and badges. Why don't you try a little whittling of the furniture to make up for it ?

hahaha she is hurting your reputation. you'll have to attack her in her sleep, just a little whack

Mum knows she doesn't have time for us to do scouts, so we aren't joining either.

My mom heard about cat scouts but she couldn't cut it in girly scouts so there was no hope her letting me join. Maybe your mom will find inspiration. Or maybe not. Either way, we still think you're a trooper for putting up with her.

Spitty, Kozmo here. I too feel the shame of a lackadaisical human! I was one of the every first to sign up and then Mommy immediately said CANNING was more important.
I have not had a chance to pawticipate in anything!
Shall we boycott our humans?
I think it is time for an assistant evaluation!!!
Your friend in Pain!

Spitty, my human didn't even bother signing me up for the Cat Scouts! She said she was too busy with the publishing company! :-/

You should keep your human awake at night with you, so the two of you can discuss a solution!

We are not Cat Scouts, either, my sweetie. Guest Russell could get you a badge, though, if you want. And you are right about the two sets of ears--I had not even considered that! But William and twin are my *brothers* while you are *still* my Little Crushie Boy.

Kissies,

There, there, Spitster. Our human is always at fault, too. She disappoints us on a daily basis. We're with King P. Maybe you should work over a coffee table leg or three. HahaMeow!
XOXO

At least she let you join the Cat Scouts. Mommy says there is just not enough hours in a day for her to let us join the Cat Scouts. Yeah, we know all about that. She hasn't even helped us post about our awards. Hrummpff.

Poor Spitty, you look so distressed about it! I hope you get to go on the quest!

Star says: About those ear washies... I accept! I'll be over soon. Purrrrrr

Aww. The head peep wouldn't let us join the cat scouts because she knew we wouldn't ever participate. We're that way with the Tabby Cat Club, too. We hope your human shapes up.

They should give a badge for tolerating a bad human.

Oh Spitty, I had no idea you wanted to be in the Cat Scouts. Mom would love me to be in the Cat Girl Scouts but she knows she is too lame to be able to help me. Everyone's mom needs to help their Scout and she is beyond belief not able to. Yours can so I hope you get to go. I'll be cheering you on. Admiral will speed you along in your races and guide you in the night hikes. AND light your tent with the sparkles from her star. XoXo

Poor Spitty! We've missed you like mad on Scouts - especially your Patrol Leader - you're right - there's a big QUEST coming up March 23/24 and I know Wally would LOVE for you to help. Hope to see you back one of these days buddy - maybe after this moon trip is over you can motivate your human - they can be a most difficult species.

Hugs, Sammy

Oh buddy, I feel your pain. In in the Cat Scouts too and like it. But M says there just isn't enough hours in her day and Cat Scouts always gets left off the list. What are we going to do!

I tell you what will motivate her, Spit!! You and I are both cheermasters for our patrol and if you don't come up with something decent, it will be just down to me and I cannot rely on my human to take my dictation correctly, let alone to get me there on time. It will be a car crash and Wally our leader will be heartbroken. Do you want to be partly responsible for our leader's broken heart? ;)

Humom's they are so unreliable, you should hear all the promises I get..You would be better off with a Labradoodle BOL Mind you, he probably would eat all the food BOL xxxoxxx

See, I knew that you were more cut out to be a member of my posse than a Cat Scout. That’s for cats who have humans who don’t work. The only reason I get long posts is that TW is too lazy to go back to work. Don’t envy me cos at elast your human has money to spend on you.

Ann Boyajian said...

Well, at least you were able to enlist! We tried (or rather, our mom tried) to enroll, and nothing happened. Nothing! Pah!!

Marty the Manx said...

Oh I feel your pain Spitty! Ralphie and I were nicely asked to join the Tabby Cat Club. No outing, not effort, just our birthdates, gotcha dates and pictures.... has THAT happened? Snark Nooooo! What is up with these substandard humans? I think I am going to go voice my opinion LOUDLY right now..... Yes I am.....

The Island Cats said...

Oh Spitty! Do I have to come to San Francisco and help you motivate your human? Because I will if it means you'll pawticipate in the upcoming Quest.

Spitty, Mau says you must use some Cat Scout skills and light a fire under her. Your troop needs you buddy, plus you are missing out on so much fun. And don't forget, the ladycats love a mancat in a Cat Scout uniform. Come on Mom Mary. Give your boy some time at Cat Scouts. Purrlease!
