(Almost) Kittyless Flashback Friday
Well, at least this time I got to be in the picture, harumph. So back to that autograph book.
In the 1920s-'30s, the Human's Great Uncle Joe was Secretary of the State Boxing Commission, so sometimes he took the Human's mom's strange little book to silly Human fights and parties after and got her some peculiar autographs, ha ha meow.
Like this one!

(Kind of Wordy-ish) Wednesday
I am appalled--yes, Kitties, appalled--that anykitty could have chosen answers (A) or (B) yesterday! Not, I hasten to assure you, because I do not do those things (I most certainly do! and I enjoy them), but because I would never have permitted the Human to make such a public and embarrassing display of my private habits (well, not this week anyway).
No, the correct answer of course was (C), though I will give full credit to those of you who chose (D) as it is also an entirely reasonable choice.

The Object in the Red Circle Is . . .
A. An ill-placed litter box deposit;
B. A politely hacked-up furball;
C. A brown toy mouse;
D. None of anyhuman's business.

You, Human! Yes, you!
C'mon over here & tie this curtain back, wouldja?
Sheesh! Do I have to do everything myself?

Kittyless Flashback Friday*
When the Human's Mom was just a wee girl, she and her Mom used to send an autograph book off to celebrities who caught their (admittedly quirky) fancy and ask them to sign and return the book. One such signer was John Philip Sousa, who added a sweet little bar of music to his 1928 signature.
We think that was pretty nice.

Sunday Selfie
Kitties, I am all tuckered out from the Cat Scouts big trip to Paris. That Sammy! He's the Energizer Kitty--man, I just can't keep up with him. Me, well I need a 20-hour nap, starting . . . right . . . now!

MVP or MVB?
So, the Human did a little favor for a colleague, and in return her colleague went completely crazypants and brought her one of the MadBum World Series Bobbleheads that were given out at the game last night!
I tried to give him some advice after our nap, but I don't think he was really listening.

This and That
So my Iza-Lambie thinks I have become a porker.
If I had feelings, they'd be hurt.
In other (i.e., non-cat-related and boring) news, the Human went to a play today in a small theater downtown. While she was waiting for her friend, she took this picture in quite a dim hallway without a flash. This new camera is Da Bomb, she says!

P.S. I am going to totally cheat (shocking, isn't it?) and give the Creative Blogger Award to THREE of my favorite creative kitties (instead of 20!). They are

Okay, never. How about never? Is never good for everyone?
Hey! I'm not asleep, all right? That alone should count for something!

Fun Friday: An Awardie for Yours Truly
As with most awards, I have a few rules to follow.
Thank the one who gave you the award: Cat on My Head, I am so thankful that, despite the many failings of You-Know-Who, you still gave me this awardie. It warms the cockles of my flinty little heart!
Link to the blog of the one who gave the award to you: Done! Just clicky on the name above.
Now I must tell you five things about myself. This is a tough one. What could I possibly tell you after so many years of blogging about me? I think I will have to share this list with the Human.
Here goes:
1. April 14 (just 4 days from right now!) will be my 5th Blogoversary. Even my useless typist admits it is an occasion worthy of note--stay tuned!
2. She thinks perhaps it is getting to be Retirement Time after the coming school year. Huh. Well, it might be nice to have a servant who's around more, but honestly, all that time for flashy box harassment? I dunno.
3. In the last year or so, I have become a better eater. She doesn't fret so much now that my plate is mostly clean every day, MOL.
4. It's an odd-numbered year, so the Human fears it is not her Giants' fate to win the World Series this fall. That's okay (as long as it's not the Dodgers, the Braves, or the A's ::shudder:: who claim the title).
5. Although I am very stern with her, I do feel some affection for my Human. She does her best, poor thing, with the foods, and the box, and the toys and the beddies and the brushings and the pettings and stuff. She's not so bad, really. For a Human.
We know we need to pass this award along to some furiends, but we has to think on that . . . we will do so this weekend!

Just Me Again
Yes, yes, I know. Spitty-in-His-Bed-du-Jour does nothing for my image. But she likes to take pictures when I am nice and still, hence my reputation as a 22-hour-a-day sleeper. I swear tomorrow--or soon, anyway--I will do something much more entertaining. Perhaps running away from our new vacuum cleaner will be a good theme?
Oh, and to add insult to injury, the Human went out to dinner tonight and then afterwards took this nice picture with her fancy new camera, bringing me exactly ~NONE~ of her delicious crab cakes. Phffft.

Me & My Friend Fritzie
For her birfday last December, the Human got a fancy new camera. Has she ever learned to use it? That answer would be a firm No . . . until today, that is!
Kitties, Fritzie's Dad is a bona-fide eggs-pert on all things photographic and in the blink of an eye (well, a slow eye) he taught her enough that she could use it to take these stunning portraits of Fritzie and me. I think we look pretty grand, n'est-ce pas?

A Kitty Who Came Before . . .
a l-o-n-g time before, like 50 years before!
Fluffy was one of the Human's first kitties--she was mostly an outdoor girl, as the Human's beloved mother did not entirely subscribe to the notion of indoor kitties. But as time wore on, Fluffy wormed her way into the Mom's heart and she began to tolerate some family room incursions, especially on chilly nights. Fluffy was a good girl, the Human says, and unfortunately this is just about the only picture she has of her, circa the early 1960s.

♫ There Goes Peter Cottontail
Hopping Off to Raise His Bail
Heh, heh. He needs a few lessons from Santa on getting away with all the B&Es.
Well, the Big Day's over, and here I am with a few broken eggshells and a yolk hangover. It's gonna be a sleepy Monday.

This is how I spent my day while the Human did her taxes.
I'm hoping tomorrow will be a little more cheerful.

TBT: 59 Years Ago Today
April 1, 1956: The Human (left) and her BFF Pammie. The Human and Pam really have been BFFs, too. Pam moved in next door in 1953, when the Human was a sprightly three-year-old, and they have been besties ever since.
