Sunday Selfie: Quarantine, Day Whatever

Happy Sunday, Kitties and Peeps! My life is going along just fine, as it always has. But honestly, the whining and crying from the Human is well-nigh intolerable. She wants to go out, she wants to go to movies and restaurants and parks and stuff. At first she got all excited because the Powers That Be said people could go outside for some exercise, as long as they observed "social distancing," but then they said "except for the elderly" and, let me tell you, she's a textbook case of that.  Strictly speaking, so am I, but we'll leave that discussion for another time, shall we?
We hope you are all doing well in these troubled times, and if your Human is making you crazy these days, well, Welcome to the Club, My Brothers and Sisters.

Spitty thank goodness our Dad is the quiet brooding sort. Yes there is a change but for us not much and truth be told we like our family home

We are being told that the over 70s and those with health problems have to self isolate from tomorrow for 12 weeks and then being reviewed after that.
Apart from going for a blood test last week, we have been self isolating since last Monday.
Think of all the extra petting and playtime you will get!

We hope this ends soon. Too much human time continuously is getting irritating :)

Take care you both.

Well, Spitty, we know San Francisco has been pretty much shut down, but can your mom get in the car and take a drive to somewhere less populated and have a walk outside in the fresh air. Restrictions not as tight here; though, everything is closed except for grocery stores, CVS and the like. Mom is so happy that when it is warm enough she can work in the yard. You all stay safe. Our humans fit in that elderly category as well. Thanks for hopping. MM says you look fab in your sun puddle and sends 💖💋. Spitty - NOW is the time to invest in heavy-duty intensive training/re-training of your Human. She's got nothing else to do and may even welcome the training as a way of occupying her time. I think that if you put your mind to it, you can come up with a Spitty-focused programme of activities that will see her fully absorbed 9 or even 10 hours each day. That leaves her with time to read, shower, prepare meals and perhaps watch a television show. Sounds good to me.

Tolerance of peeps is not really your strong point Spitty - MOL! You are handsome as ever, stay healthy and strong at your house.

I am going to the park...if it ever stops raining. Only a big policeman will stop me from my fresh air and exercise there.

Our peeps being home is pretty normal now but the Mom does make a food run from time to time. Stay safe, healthy and virus-free.

Unlike your (lovely and nice) Mum are don't live in an urban area and we can go for local walks and the cinemas and cafes arent closed yet. Although I am anxious because I worry about our local cat cafe's staying open.

Have a good week you two, try to have fun (and be patient with your human Spitty).

My human misses going out with friends... OTOH, she's excited that Emma has been released for streaming early.

Yeah, humans can definitely be whiny, can't we? Still, take good care of yours, King Spitty.

Spitty, tell your human that there will be plenty of time for going out and doing stuff after this is all over.

Hi Mr Spitty!
Our Mom is elderly...we did NOT know that until this virus happened. Now that she is 66 she is an OLD LADY! What I want to know is WHY is she still working? Since we have been social distancing since we moved back to Midway we are not finding it a great hardship, especially with our human brother Alex being able to do all the young human stuff (like shopping for cat food).

We are as young as we feel, but right now this is making most folks feel old, MOL
Anyways, enjoy the extra tickles and cuddles and the undoubted extra kibble and treats that should be forthcoming ;)

We have to act for the good of all now, Spitty...
Some people are doing extra chores, or hanging out with friends on Skype.
The Hubby just watches bad TV...

Spitty, we know that you are keeping your mom company during this stay at home order time. Hopefully, by most everyone doing this. We will all be back to living our lives regularly again. Thanks for the update. Have a wonderful day.

I'm hearing minimal whining at my house - at least until they began to run out of toilet paper because on the "usual" shopping day - the cupboard (and shelves at the store) were bare. She scored one roll from a neighbor and this morning - HALLELUJAH she got the last nine-pack from the grocery. Needless to say this has made her day/week/month. She said she won't be making chili for dinner because she doesn't want to press her luck with the supply of TP!

Hang in there - we must try to keep our humans calm. Not an easy job.
Hugs, Teddy

We expect a box of ear plugs from Amazon.cat any day now. The whining has got to stop. I'm sure yoor hoomom could enjoy her yard where the air is fresh and clean. It's spring and the sun is gonna start shining on a regular basis. Stay safe and healthy!
