Taste Test

In an effort to force me encourage me to eat kibble that is "healthier" for me (and by the way *I'll* be the judge of that, thankyouverymuch), the Human dropped a truly alarming number of green papers on some fancy food. Here it is:

Castor & Pollux       Innova           Wellness           Wilderness

After several hours, this* was the result:
The Castor and Pollux is a Whole Paycheck Foods product, and was, surprisingly, the least expensive of the four. It was the plate I emptied first. The Innova was a close second, but the other stuff--yucko. She has mixed some of it in now with the favorites because she says she is not going to get rid of it just because I don't freaking like it, not after all those green papers went flyin' out the door.

And that's the way it is on Spitty's tray, today, February 24, 2012.

*Please notice the blurring in Photo #2. You know how hard it is to get a clear, sharp picture of small plates--they just won't keep still!

Spitty, you better go and put a strong paw on those small plates! Interesting that you are discriminating enough to choose the Whole Paycheck type of food.

Spitty, that's what I'll have too then. I sure will. Going to finish my RC for now and then, I'll look for Innova.

A buffet of kibble? And we didn't get any? You do know our human only gives us about 2 TBSP of kibble a day, right? Next time you have a kibble buffet--ANY kibble--call us and we'll help you eat it!

Awesome...maybe you can get your mom to put out a plate of cheddar cheese. Then I'll come over to help you eat!

So now she's feeding you hippy food! Where's the Luna Tuna? It's grain-free and it's not chopped liver, you know. Oh wait, that's stinky goodness.

Love the experiment! We didn't like Wellness or Wilderness either.

When you said the tunnels are connected yesterday, we discovered our cube is part of the vast network too!

I wish my mom were that nice. She's been trying to beat the clock with these $10 coupons she keeps getting in bags of Science Diet--that all expire on 2/29! We'll have enough of that until 2013! It's good we like it.

Canned food, on the other paw, is a whole other matter. Caroline and Pee rarely eat whatever is put out (although they make an unholy racket for dinner), Olivia is good for 2 licks, I'll eat about 5 licks, and of course Russell will eat anything but that weird crap my mom tried a few weeks ago. He'd eat everybody's if he could, and we all know what would happen if he did.

Does your mom ever mention anything to you about cats starving in India? Somebody needs to explain *that* one to me.

We've never heard of Castor & Pollux. It must be super duper yummy based on your test. Have you tried Addiction? We eat that and it's YUMMY!

ha ha ha...those little dishes are such rascals! We sure wish we had fancy-schmancy taste tests like you, Spitty, Mommy fills up our tower and THAT'S IT! Take it or leave it.

You human THINKS she is not wasting the expensive food. Just wait until she sees that you have eaten around all the crappy tasting stuff and left it in the dish!

Andrea and the Celestial Kitties said...

Are you SURE that was a preference for the foods or did you just prefer the white plates to the patterened ones? Because I see that you like square white, and then round white, but completely dislike either patterned square plates..
Of course if it is the foods, then isn't it just like a human to put things you dont like in the stuff that you do? if it's not yucky foods, it's medicine. Watch out, King Spitty, you never know if someone is trying to bump off the king! Take my advice, get yourself a food tester! Your human will do in a pinch, see if SHE likes that stuff! MOL

Well, that was quite the taste test, Spitty! But we're a little disappointed that you chose the cheapest food as your favorite. It would have been much better if you preferred the most expensive foods...make your human pay!!

Hey Spitty!
Serious question...
Which Castor & Pollux was it? Was it the Carnivore Health Boost? Indoor Cat? The girl is trying to get me more protein. I say just bring in the rabbits and mice. But she's considering this C&P stuff based on your review. ; )

Please let us know!
thx,
Katie and the Girl

Well, that answers that question! My woman tried to make me eat venison (vishus deer) wet cat food for a couple of days. Ha! I growled and bit and scratched her bloody. She won't do that again. Yes, I am a cat from hell and proud of it!

By the way, Spitty, tell your human that most stores will take back food that the cat (you) won't eat. That should help with the whole mixing the good with the crap idea.

Teddy says he would have eaten everything just to confuse the woman.

Spitty, you crack me up!

Wow, Spitty. That's some serious smorgasbord lickin food. We're glad to know you at least liked half (2 out of 4) of the new stuff.

Impressive taste-test, Spitty. Paws up to the Human for doing that!

We like Eukanuba Chicken kibble. But then we only get 10-12 between stinky goodness meals as treats, so the kibble isnt our main foods.

We suggest yer Human mix them up inna big jar an put some out that way. We bet you will like the variety until it is all yer favrit flavor.
