On This Tense Election Eve,
A Reminder of What Is Truly Impawtant

I suggest you turn off the TV, crack open a bottle
of whatever floats your boat, put up your feets or paws,
and watch me enjoy a nice plate of Wellness
Chicken and Herring. I guarantee it will soothe
your jangled nerves and offer a delightful respite
from the tumult and the shouting.
There. Now, isn't that better?

  1. But Spitty! The tumult and shouting is inside our house! HBO words first thing in the morning until she can get the radio turned off. (Maybe she doesn't realize those NPR people can't hear her?) Our little virgin ears are just about burnt to a crisp.

Caroline the Elder does not remember anything like this in past times.

  2. That's a HUGE plate of food! And yes it does soothe our souls even though we are over the other side of the planet, it's still stressy.

  3. I don't feel ANY better - because where's MY food? I don't want to just watch YOU eat!

BTW, my human doesn't watch TV much, and has pretty much stayed clear of cable TV news, so at least that hasn't been adding to her stress.

  4. Another outstanding performance in a drama - certainly a hot prospect for an Oscar as Best Actor. Keep it up.

    Sydney, Australia

  5. It is. And if you'd like to gaze upon my visage...the tunnel awaits.

  6. Spitty, it was soothing to watch you nom away!

  7. Our TV is on but the Dad removed all of the news and political stuff from the channel line up. We will be voting for Smoke and Joe though!

  8. Looks DELISH Spitty........!

    Hugs, Sammy

  9. It's better watching you than the TV.

  10. Watching you, Spitty, makes me want to eat. ~Wally

  11. There was much tumult and dismay in our house last night. Our mom hit the potato chip bag in a way we had not seen before. We think she needed the chips to wash down her martini.

  12. Mom says that it is time to stock the cabinets with whatever beverage floats all our boats! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty may, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
