Mr. Nippy: Are Your Days Numbered?

This is my old friend, Mr. Nippy. Remember him? The Human fills his little belly with high-quality nip and then microwaves him for a few seconds to enhance my sniffing pleasure. Mr. Nippy has served me well. I often carry him with me from place to place.

So why would Mr. Nippy's place in my affections be at risk?

This is the reason.

On Tuesday, the Human purchased Nip Seeds. She filled a pot with soil, planted the seeds as directed, watered with MiracleGro-laced water and put the pot out on the little garage roof outside our dining room window. And there it sits, in the fog and cold. The packet says sprouts will appear in 12-15 days. Uh-huh.

I don't think Mr. Nippy has much to worry about.

BREAKING NEWS:  As of approximately 4 p.m. PDT, the pot full of dirt and seeds has been brought indoors and attended to in the manner recommended by our friend MomKat Trish of the Katnip Lounge.  The Human now feels she will have someone else to blame if tender shoots of Nippy Goodness fail to materialize from the little seeds.

LOL! Maybe not...but you never know! Actually, fresh nip would be pawsome, Spitty. You could have a fresh supply, and your mom could dry some for the winter, and keep Mr. Nippy's belly full!

To the Spitty Slave:

Cover the pot with plastic wrap(poke holes) and bring it indoors until the seeds start to sprout. Keep the soil a little moist with a sprayer. Good luck!

If all fails, Lowe's sells fresh Nip plants. Or we can mail you some of our homegrown. Not bad for ditchweed, really!

If your mom is anything like my mom, you're in for nothing but disappointment. My mom can't even grow cat grass, which is easier to grow than weeds! But maybe she isn't and you'll have fresh nip in a few weeks.

Better keep a stash of the dried stuff just in case. Good luck!

Glad that MomKat Trish gave you that good advice. Now our assistant can get busy and grow some nip for us. She has been slack about getting going on the nip. Can't wait to see that nip coming up. Take care Spitty and there are two or three of us here that will not allow a hoooman to pick them up. Have a great week end.

If my mum can grow nip, then your human can. Seriously.
