Brain Cells: Disappearing Fast

So, today the Human went on a nice shopping trip to PetSmart, Michael's and, her favorite, Target. So she had gotten all the impawtant stuff (my foodz and litter and a new toy, too!) by the time she arrived at Target, where she had many less-impawtant things to purchase, which she did.

But when she gotted home, she realized she had left her giant 12-pack of paper towels on the bottom of the cart in the Target parking lot. Sigh. Getting old is no picnic, Kitties. At least it wasn't my Fancy Feast languishing in that parking lot. Now THAT would be a real tragedy.

Ha! Look! Even with this Chromebook I can copy and paste an old picture (from 2012) just so you don't forget who I am and what I look like.

No paper toweling?

Spitty, gird your loins, and HORK! like there's no tomorrow!

Sounds like she is suffering from hard drive failure. Ă„iti has done similar, and she is younger than your Human. We are relieved it was not your own supplies which she forgot and she does seem to have prioritised her selective dementia appropriately.

We hear papertowels are impawtant to humans. I see them use it when we leave them gifts on the rug.

Wow. My hoomins like big rolls of paper, too. That way, they can wipe up when they spill wawa and stuff.

Spitty - at least it was ONLY the paper towels, not your Fancy Feast. I'm prepared to put it down to high levels of anxiety following the explosion of your laptop. Bear with her until she's completely back up and running in that department.

I've heard that paper towel rolls are quite satisfying to attack and rip apart! Maybe my human should give one to Binga - she needs an outlet.

Whew, at least your Fancy Feast is safe! The head peep is forgetful like that, too, and she only uses the bottom of the cart when she has adult supervision to make sure she doesn't leave things there.

Phew lucky it wasn't your Fancy Feast or there would be trouble. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly

I am glad it wasn't your Fancy Feast. My dad did that a while ago. He and mum were shopping together and she saw some self adhesive vinyl in just the pattern she was looking for to smarten her desk up, and it was in the sale. Dad took everything to the car to unload while mum was digging for her plastic. When they got home she asked him what he had done with it, and yes, he had left it in the cart.

Spitty I totally agree, getting old is not funny. My mom forgot her pots with heather at the supermarket and she noticed this fact after removing the goner-petunias from our windowsills....now we have flowerboxes with earth... bet the kitties will like it, it's a nice litter box

We sympathize with your mom, Spitty. We're so relieved your necessities weren't forgotten, though :D

Spitty our Mom has forgotten stuff when she puts it on the lower part of the cart too! So she tries really hard NOT to do that (put stuff on the bottom cart). We could never forget you!

Well that kinda sucks, doesn't it, Spitty? Once our mom left a whole bag of groceries at the store and had to go back to get it. Thank cod the register girl turned the bag into the customer service place.

Our mom is getting more forgetful by the hour too! We sympathize.

That's why our mom and dad go to the store together, Spitty. If one of them forgets something on the cart, the other one almost always remembers it.

Spitty, you silly boy. How could anyone forget what you look like? I'm glad you got some new Fancy Feasts. When you get back to visiting, you'll see that I got a Fancy Feast box and it's my new favorite.

OMC! TW would be crying and whining and crying some more if she left something behind like that. It’s a good thing she remembered all your stuff.

Sorry your bean is losing brain cells. Mum hasn't done anything like that, yet......

Thank COD none of your stuff got left behind Spitty & we would never forget what you look like most handsomest of cat royalty. Did the human call the store to see if the one honest person in the parking lot might have turned the paper towels in? Thay are not cheap either Spits. I did the same damn thing at Costco with a humongous pack of paper towels that would have lasted until 2020. They actually trusted that my dull minded human was telling the truth even though someone swiped them from the cart right away & they gave her a replacement, but she white knuckled it until they agreed to replace them. You'd of thought she left the Hope Diamond on the bottom of that cart the way she carried on. Sheeesh! Being over 50 is a bitch sometimes. When my mom had mental-pause she couldn't find her way out of a paper bag. Things is better now that that gigs over & done, but clearly her brain was addled permentently. What kind of toy did she bring you Spitty? Gald your Feast is safe at home.

My mom can actually go out for a specific thing and completely forget that thing the moment she walks into the store. So she makes a list....and then leaves it at home.

But as long as it's not our stuff she forgets, we don't actually care that much.

Nice pic Spitty, you hasn't aged a bit.

Now the beans, that's a different story. Our ancient mom bean forgets stuff all the time but thank Cod not impawtent stuff like feeding us and cleaning our litters. Of course, we're furry good and remind her, MOL

Have a great week!

Wow, an TBT went to Target today too for litter and his nuts. Well, and more rechargeable batteries too. It always seems he needs more nuts and power.

But I loved the several hours we spent together in THAT corner of the secret closet together washing and cuddling... Iza-Lovey!h
