ManCat Monday: Rooting for the Panfurs
So, frankly, I'd kind of like to see Super Bowl City, but the Human says, "No chance, Spitty." She'll be glad when all the visitors are gone, but I dunno. I think they'd like me if they got to know me. Am I right?
You should have seen the panther I saw at the cat show! He's called a Chausie, and he is as HUGE as a Maine Coon, only he is a shorthaired black cat! And he is as well behaved as I am! Maybe even moreso.
PS. how I missed you in a box the other day is beyond me! That was adorable! Please have the box closed, air holes added, and mail King Spitty to me!!!! :D
I've done some online research and discovered that this year's Super Bowl is happening close to your home, Spitty. I think that your Human is correct in her decision not to take you out to meet the fans. But ... that doesn't mean that they can't meet you. Here's the plan: organise a computer session with your Human to create posters promoting your blog. Plan a route that will see your Human, armed with 500 copies of the poster and a huge roll of tape, put the posters up on lamp posts and in public spaces close to where the tourists are most likely to be staying and, of course, all over the stadium where the football game will be played. Ah ... another thought: three squillion flyers to be handed to fans as they enter the stadium. No - even better: flyers are too large and are likely to be tossed. Three squillion business cards - and make 'em good quality, full colour and printed with your most endearing pic - to be handed to fans entering the stadium. Watch your server go into meltdown as all your new fans jump in to visit you on your blog. Perhaps, in anticipation, you might prepare a montage of some of your most endearing pics? Boy oh boy, Spitty - this opportunity is huge. Get at it!
Spitty - I've had another thought about this. Perhaps your Human might baulk at the expense of having three squillion high-quality business cards printed and paying a team of people to distribute them. Is it too late, do you think, to seek sponsorship from your city council or some such? It's not that tourists need to come to San Francisco in order to meet you - they can do that from the comfort of their own homes by checking your blog each day. But ... the council might feel that it's worth covering the cost of this activity to promote you as one of the wonders of the city - pitching San Francisco as a place where the gorgeous, the regal, and the uber creative choose to live. And, in this way, promoting San Francisco as a wonderful place to visit (and spend money). How does that sound? Let me know if there's anything that I can do to contribute to the effort to leverage the Super Bowl crowds to build you readership, won't you?
They would definitely like you, Spitty, but you might find all the hullabaloo a bit much ... Best to remain comfortably curled up in one of your favourite places and let them feel the effect of your regal presence from afar. Purrs ... Rainbow

Well of COURSE everyone would like to meet you! Might involve Touching, though...
I like the idea of a Super Bowl - a very big plate of noms, n'est-ce pas ? I mean what else could it be for everyone to get so excited about it ?
Spitty, darling, to know you is to love you! Anyone who wouldn't love you isn't worth knowing! Smooches!

Personally, I'd rather go to FOOD BOWL CITY. But that's me.
My black bros are rooting for the Panthers, but Izzy's with the orange team.
Whoa! I didn't realize it was in the Niners new digs. I'd say go without her and party it up. Who's playing halftime anyway?
