She has promised me that this break will not follow the pattern of previous vacations when I have been shunted aside, abandoned for days & days while she goes and has funtimes with her other friends. Oh no, she is staying right here with me even if I have to sink every one of my 18 claws into her. See? There's that counting thing again.

You are, indeed, an excellent counter. I know that you're keeping count of the number of posts your Human has helped you post on your blog so far this calendar year. I hope you keep that number in front of her and incentivise her (with claws, if necessary) to aim for 400 posts in 2017.

Oh, Miss Megan, woe is I. 400??? One quarter of the year is GONE and at this rate I won't even get to 250! It's such a shame, when the world would be so much better with more SpittySpeaks in it. Why, just imagine! If I hit 400, maybe Fox Nooz would come over here and interview me! Maybe I could get Trumplestiltskin's attention and somehow hynotize him wiff my powerful laser-eyes on high beam and then use my claws as purrsuasion to straighten up and fly right! Just think how I might change the world!

Your human has seen the light....spending her spring vacation with her furry companion who takes such good care of HER and asks so very LITTLE - this is the stuff that makes for a WELL BALANCED relationship! Oh - you're so right. Spitty. 248 isn't going to make it, but to be fair, it's possible that 400 wouldn't make it either. I don't think it's output so much as followers that would attract The Donald's attention. I'm thinking that if you could attract, say, 5 million followers, then you would be able to put your paw down, command the attention of the Commander in Chief and show him a thing or two about how to govern. Honestly? I'm confident that with a bit of PR undertaken with enthusiasm and flair by the Human, you'd be able to achieve 5 million followers. Your wisdom, your insight, your winning personality - you are the complete package.
But ... you're struggling to get your Human to perform basic housekeeping and support services, let alone undertake the kind of marketing activity that would make you a household name across the country. So, I think that's your challenge: to get the Human hopping and achieving great things on your behalf. And boy oh boy, if you can do that, then you really will have a track record to boast to The Donald about!
