                                       What a Week

Hello, Kitties. Sorry I've been gone for weeks and weeks three days. First, I had to help the Human make the bed, then I had to catch up on my sleep, and finally I had to take care of her when her very dear friend died after an all-too-brief battle with cancer. Things have reached a sort of equilibrium now, and I think it is time for her to start paying attention to ME again. In fact, it's always time for that.

You (and the Human) were missed. I'm saddened to hear of the death of a dear friend of hers. This is a time when you can help by being very attentive to her, cuddling up with her, and generally paying her a lot of attention. Or, on the other paw, you could increase your demands and be especially needy as a means of distracting her from her grief. Your call.

Our condolences to your human, Spitty. What a terrible thing to have happened. We took a vote and decided you need to share your treats and toys with her during this sad time.

You have been on extra duties of care and comfort (and bed making) so the reciprocation will follow. And toonas. Or salmon. Salmon is awesome.
Purrs to the Human for the loss of her friend. Many purrs.

How sad for your human, Spitty. My human just found out that someone she knew back in the 1980s, who she had connected with on Facebook some years back, passed away... in 2013. That was depressing.

Loosing a friend is very hard, and we're sorry for your human's loss. :(

However, we don't think you should spend your time on comforting her, but instead challenge her. Humans feel good when somebody needs them, and they secretly enjoy challenges (although complaining a lot). So start with your fleas - did your human catch any? Maybe her whole school could get your fleas?

Oh Spitty - I'm so sorry your human lost a good friend to the Evil "C". It's just awful and always so sad. I'm sure you will stay extra close to her....she needs you as much as you need her!

Hugs, Teddy
