Heat and Smoke and Fire, Oh My!

I'd love to get up and play, but . . .

In other news, the Human encountered this on her walk this morning. Given that it is sizzling and smoky, not to mention still freaking September, it seemed a little . . . odd:

Maybe someone put that tree out to help everyone feel cool. Doesn’t work, does it...

Wait, what?! Who's thinking of Christmas right now! Ugh. It does start early most years, but this year there's really no reason.

It looks like the scaffolders have got the Christmas spirit a bit early! I would have asked Ivor to poke his head through one of the holes and taken a photo of him!

Spitty, we couldn't agree more!
Folks get hopped up on the upcoming holidays, while most of us wish they'd keep their enthusiasms to a mild roar...

My family viewed its first two Christmas commercials on TV a few nights ago. We were shocked and disgusted.

OMC! You look adorbs in this pic. SIGGGHHH! Around here neighbors have been lighting their outdoor Christmas lights all year to provide some joy and levity during the pandemic. There make TW smile every time she looks out the window.
