Our friend Fritzie has been abandoned by his People who have gone on a five-day vacation without him. Have you ever heard of such an outrage in all your life? Just look at how ill-treated he is!
Oh, wait--what? Well, yes, my Human is visiting him twice a day, and yes, she's feeding him, and yes, giving him head-scritches. But, still-- it's the principle of the thing.

I'm getting all betters now. Mommy got me by surprise and I went singling along to the v-e-t.
Spitty, where does Fritzie live...we are going to send him a lil' cake with a file in it. He can break out and take the bus to our house.

At least your person is visiting Fritzie. Mine left me ALL NIGHT LONG with only DRY CRUNCHY FOOD when the Woman went on her Walk. And then the Man acted all OOOOH I CAME BACK the next day when he came home to feed us. Big whoop. People need to stay home!
Well, of course YOUR human would never do such a thing, would she, Spitty? Even so, I do think you could send Fritzie a TAD more sympathy.
I can tell from the picture that Fritzie is in good hands!
