This Is (Almost) Winter?

Kitties, it was 66° today with bright sun and clear skies. We have bright sun and clear skies every freaking day. It's just . . . unnatural. And it's how winter was last year, too.
In an average year, we would have had 20.78" of rain by now; this year, we have had 4.3".  The Humans are pretty freaked out. My Human remembers the drought years of the mid-to-late 1970s when water was rationed where she lived in Marin County and it wasn't pretty.
So, do any of you know a Rain Dance? Could you do it, please? And send any results out here?

Thanks, Kitties.

Hmmm, if I put my war paint on maybe it’ll work for rain. Seriously, I’d be afraid I’d make it snow some more here. We don’t need any more of that stuff. TW has shopping to do for Christmas.

Yikes, a drought is not good. We could send you some snow - that might help a bit.

We don't know a rain dance, but we are crossing our paws against your potential drought. This is the dry season here or we would send some of our rain to you!

I would be MORE than happy to send you some SNOW. You can melt it and have plenty of water. Plenty.

Tell your Mommy to go wash her car. Yep, our Mom says that always works, but then leave the windows DOWN after. Bwahaha!

It looks like you are grilled on a bbq, King Spitty.

Now, we do know a rain dance. It involves sticking up the tail, jiggling from one back paw to the other, waving the buttocks and then a golden stream of liquid falls from above. Does that help ?

It snowed almost all day here, Spitty. Why don't I box some up for you and ship down?

Spitty, you want winter? Come visit us...we got plenty of winter...6 inches of snow and freezing temps.

But seriously, we know that not getting any rain is not good...so we'll do a dance that you get some.

Speaking of unnatural...
What's with the pin stripe suit, Spitty?!
; ) Katie

...oh and Glogirly says that constant, day after day, below zero weather is way more unnatural.

Stay warm and cosy Spitty. Here it is so mild no heating needed but it is only the calm before the storm. Making the most of it.
Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly.

Oh Spitty, we know how to do really good rain dances so we will start dancing away for you to get some nice rain. It is no fun being in a drought.
We love your great Christmas header. Just look at that handsome Spitty. Take care.

We are in climate change as well. I believe these days are going to be then new standards for our areas which is why I'm ready to move to follow the weather pattern that has the rain in it.

Here we are almost on track for rainfall for a change but not quite--we've had bad drought for eons here or I'd share.

Caroline could probably spit on you, if that would help.

Sounds like you need our weatherman. All he needs to do is to go to media to say the hot weather will continue in SF and you'll get rain immediately! He's really that *good*!

Wow Spitty, that really is unnatural. Without Mom's stepmom alive and living in San Carlos, we don't have a reason to keep up with things like that anymore. Our mom is only truly happy when the sun is shining and the temperature is between 65 and 75. She says, that's what happens when you grow you in CA. Is your mom the same way? Anyway, it is obvious that you all need some rain really badly, and we will do our best to help you out. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Any more rain we get, Spitty, we'll send back West! We've ALREADY had over half our annual rainfall (for the winter) in November! What's up with THAT?
