Every Picture Tells a Story

Well, we left our Peace Post up for two days, but as William noted, it doesn't seem to be working. So onward.

1.  A neighbor had been borrowing the chair at lower right for, like, 8 years. When he finally returned it, the Human was appalled at her former taste in seat covering. But has she done anything about it? Of course not!

2.  More art from myself and Those Who Came Before.

3.  So, I see the Human has not been to the store to purchase new kitty grass, as it is (still) missing from its accustomed spot on the dining room table. Sigh. 'Maybe tomorrow, Spitty,' she tells me, but there's really no conviction in her voice.

We don't blame you for being disappointed, Spitty. Maybe some more artwork will get her moving.

I think you could cover that offending chair with fur in no time, Spitty. And black goes with everything!

P.S. I loved your pea story! Somebody way way before me did the same thing, except it was carrots. Carrots! For cats! Can you imagine??

Hope your neighbor didn’t return any surprises in that chair. Heh heh. I’m gonna be reviewing some cat grass soon.

Your human has a friend who borrowed something for, like, half a kitty lifetime? I think my human's record is a friend who borrowed a necklace for about two years, then she moved to Annapolis. But she got it back - the girl was a singer and her publicist was able to retrieve it while promoting an album of hers.

The chair needs decorating in whatever way you can. And Äiti GROWS kitty grass so why can't the Human ?
No, maybe don't answer that as it'll turn into a moanfest about her inability to do anything............ hehehehe

Two days isn't a long time for the world to respond to your decree and get itself all peaceful, so don't think that it isn't working. Things may well be in train, but taking a longer time to become clear.I believe that there's a basis for remaining cautiously optimistic.

The neighbour: there's gotta be more to that story, Spitty. Do tell. Why did the neighbour need to borrow a chair in the first place? How come they hung on to it for so long? And - perhaps the most curious part of the whole affair - what happened that caused them to return it today? I can't believe they woke up this morning and said, "Oh, I forgot. I need to return that chair." More likely, perhaps, it was: "Oh my: the place really could do with a makeover. The fabric on that chair is dreary for starters. Hmmmm. Perhaps if I return it, I could borrow another one with a nicer fabric!"

No cat grass? Well I hope you got some other kind of treat in its place then! Even disappointed you look so soft and silky! Smooches!

Scream at her!
Walk around the house and scream.
Go to where the grass normally is and scream.
She may get the hint :/

8 years? wow.... maybe that neighbor is the bro of my momma who still has the air bed of a friend... she borrowed that thingy for a camping trip as she was 16....

Mickey's right you know. Screaming accomplishes what little else does! You have been patient and unswerving in your own exactitude...she should do the same. xxoo (I will come over and soothe you).

I only have to go out of my cat flap and I have a whole lawn full of grass waiting to be munched. Jealous? Maybe I should send you some!
You asked if there is a shortage of the Queenly Ladycats over here. I think you have hit the nail on the head. Apart from Hannah and Lucy, and Mousie, I can think of no others although it is possible I may have forgotten someone, and if I have I apologise to them. You suggested a furry Kate Middleton but I think she would lack the excitement of some of the lovely US ladycats that both we and Austin appreciate.

Spitty, all the cats around here just barf up any catgrass they eat, so maybe that's why your mom is a bit slow on the uptake.

Your human seems a bit stressed, Spitty!! Flynn says it right, Buddy! We love the American sassy ladycats! Though we love Hannah and Lucy too ❤️❤️

Perhaps you need to provide inspiration in more art Spitty? That chair cover would seem to be a good place to start. ;)

A goodly amount of your fur will improve the character of the chair!
