This is the altar in the main hallway of the Human's school. This was early this morning, so it is more crowded now. The Human's heart hurt once again over the picture of their student (upper left, pink frame) at her graduation only a few months ago. She died in an accident a week later. But we are glad to celebrate her life once again, and the lives of all those who have gone on before us.
Although Clarkie and Mr. Teeth don't have an altar, the Human loves to remember these Kitties Who Came Before. They were Good Boys back before I was even born! Clarkie was 4 or 5 months old in this picture, and Mr. Teeth about two years.
Now here's the "y Más" part! Last night around 6:00 or so, we heard LOUD fire engine sirens and lots of 'em--imagine our surprise when they stopped right on our street and the firefighters all charged into our very own little laundromat across the street where a dryer had caught on fire. For a minute it felt kinda skeery but then they put it out and efurryone was fine. In a city like this one, where all the houses are squeezed in so tight together, fires make people pretty nervous, and we really loves the fire Humans!

Oh my mouses! I would have been SUPER scared to see those fire engines, for sure.

Whoa! Dryer fires are the worst. We had a washing machine catch fire in our building during the summer. TW hates when the engines stop in front of our complex.
We love that Dia de La Muertos is a day for celebrating those who have passed, like Clarkie and Mister Teeth, and the human's student. How skerry about those fire trucks. We are glad everything was okay.
Happy Dia de los Muertos! Lovely altar, and how sad about the student who died way, way too soon.
Yay for the fire Humans.

Happy for those fire humans ♥
What a very nice altar! Our mom should take a tip.
Speaking of the bat, she's finally free of those d*mn d*gs. Or pretty much, anyway (note time).
GO CUBS!
What drama! What chaos!
And we really like that altar and the idea of a day remembering those who have gone before. We guess it is All Saints Day here (on Saturday) but it's not a British tradition - maybe we should induct Äiti into it.
Love the altar. We also love fire humans (and police humans too).....not an easy or happy job!
Hugs, Sammy
That is a lovely altar and nice to honour those no longer with us.
Fire engines are scary. Last New Year's Eve our neighbour's barn burnt to the ground. The investigator thought it was a Chinese lantern that started it.
We all know what happened to San Francisco when it caught fire 'way back! A very nice altar, and cute pic of Angels Clarkie and Mr. Teeth!
The alter is pretty cool, the fire engines not so much!
That is a beautiful display to remember those that have gone before us. How sad about the little girl.

What a beautiful way to remember those that are no longer with us.
It's always good to remember those who have touched our hearts. We're very glad the fire hoomins put the smacky paws down on that fire so fast.
Fires are not good, glad they got it out quickly.
